--When the savior removes his mask of compassion, what is it you have fallen in love with: the light, or the abyss that casts it?
Warnings: S0M1, a completely illogical, utterly brainless wish-fulfillment story with a top; if you can't handle an unchaste bottom, this isn't for you. That's just what a white knight complex is like. Not sure whether the top gets hurt, but the bottom is definitely on top. Hah, hah. If it's not your thing, the farther away you run, the better. If you like it, stay; if not, off you go, little darlings.

In Selancia, rank is divine decree.
Black Knights reign supreme, White Knights alone are holy, and the common people are mere pieces on a jewel-encrusted chessboard where fate has already been decided.
Xi Xi is the White Knight moving those pieces.
Silver hair, violet eyes, and peerless beauty. He stands atop the temple, admired by the masses. Cloaked in the purest glory, he carries out the most "merciful" acts of salvation, yet in his heart he regards all people as insignificant as weeds. To him, salvation is nothing but a series of carefully staged performances. Watching despair and hope intertwine is a diversion to relieve the boredom of his eternal life.
Until, among the ruins of a disaster zone, he finds a young man clutching the remains of his family, a glimmer still shining in his eyes.
Ta An.
A "rescued commoner" who should have died unnoticed in the ashes.
He regards Xi Xi as his sole faith, the one who cleaved the darkness, and the white tower called the "safe house" as a nest bestowed upon him at the end of despair. He offers all his gratitude and loyalty, along with a dependence that grows by the day, willingly becoming the most obedient shadow at the knight's side.
He thinks he has grasped the light.
But he doesn't know...
Sometimes, light exists only to let you see more clearly the carefully crafted cage in which you are drowning.
The "observation diary" that records his daily words and actions and dissects every moment of his suffering, numbered 17, lies quietly in the depths of Xi Xi's study.
What is called salvation is never a gift. It is an experiment in... conditioning, with tenderness as its blade and hope as its bait.
When the foundation of faith crumbles, when the gentle mask shatters, when dependence is tempered into obsession, and when the prey quietly sharpens its claws...
Who is the real prisoner?
And who will crown whom, or plunge together into the vortex they themselves have stirred, overturning divine decree?

[What to expect]
· An extreme contrast in status and emotion: the holy Knight Commander × the lowly rescued commoner | controller × dependent | false god × believer → a reversal of roles
· Delicate psychological games and a process of conditioning: from gratitude to doubt, from faith to disillusionment, from dependence to... retaliation
· A sharp critique of class hierarchy beneath a lavish Western fantasy setting: when the "gods" no longer love humanity, what remains of faith?
· A dangerous, captivating relationship: love and hate intertwined, salvation and destruction born of the same source. Who can find what is real in a collapsing order?

"I saved you. What does that have to do with you?"
--Until you became my only nightmare, and my only reason to live.
The Manual for Raising a False God: There is no savior here, only beasts and gods trapped in each other's cages.
