The Only Designated NPC in a High-Risk Comic

I'm an NPC.

Thanks, but there are lots of NPCs here: the ones cursed spirits casually breathe fire on, turning human NPCs into piles of ash; the ones villains twist and contort just to scare the protagonists into making a breakthrough in desperate circumstances; and the ones drawn as corpses in the bottom-left corner of a two-page spread during a huge battle between the protagonists and villains. Some don't even have faces.

I've awakened now. I know I'm an NPC.

What? Steal the spotlight? Not a chance.

I just found out today that I'm the one playing every single one of those tragic NPCs. Beneath every NPC's skin in the whole world is me, Kobayashi, whether they're young or old, male or female, dead a thousand times over or alive.

So now there's a problem. I've awakened, and I've not only set my own gender, I've even given myself a name. Yes, I'm called Kobayashi.

Which means I can no longer play NPCs of any age or gender, dead a thousand times over or alive.

For now, I can only play Kobayashi. I'm retired, hahaha

They dragged me back.

The Main God says that every high-risk manga has only me as its NPC workhorse. So even though I'm alive now, I still have to play dead. Even though I'm in one piece, I still have to play someone who's been decapitated. Even though I'm a man, I still have to, no, that's not allowed.

So if you see someone get decapitated by Sukuna's [Dismantle] one second, then pick up their own head and sprint off the next,

don't be surprised. That's me rushing to my next set.

My upcoming assignments include:

[Look stunned as a passerby during the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons]

Since I'm a passerby, not a corpse, even when Geto beats me senseless, I can only get up without a scratch, brush him aside, and rush to my next set.

[Get burned to ash by Jogo]

Then, the very next second, I have to gather up my own ashes and go find the colleague beside him.

[Get touched by Mahito and turned into a transfigured human]

I try my best to get my body close to him, but Mahito just sneezes, his face covered in dust.

[Die during the Shibuya Incident]

When my corpse lies in front of Brain, I trip him up.

[Become one of the people Sukuna slashes to death during the Shinjuku Showdown]

...Huh? Wait, why hasn't the Shinjuku Showdown started?

Wait, where did Sukuna go, too??

There's no way I did that.

I'm just an NPC, Kobayashi.

A story with this kind of feel. The blurb may still be revised, and I'm not sure about the point of view.
