A Dog, but the Wolf Clan's Beloved

I'm a dog. But that's perfectly normal. This is a world with all kinds of beast clans.

Our family lost a fight with another family. As we fled, they accidentally left me behind, so I was the only dog abandoned outside the forest.

Wait, I'm a two-month-old puppy. How am I supposed to survive?!

I passed out.

Then I woke up again.

When I woke up, I discovered that the wolves in the forest had taken me in as an abandoned wolf cub.

Luckily, dogs look a bit like wolves when they're young. I was able to live happily enough.

And because the wolf clan had so few children, the attitude was pretty much, "We haven't had a newborn in xx years! We just found a wolf cub! Spoil him, spoil him rotten!" I was treated incredibly well by the wolves.

So well that every day I kept a terrified smile fixed on my face, while my white paws trembled beneath the table.

My adoptive parents were wonderful to me. My cold, taciturn second brother always left bloody prey outside my door, my gentle and steady eldest brother often called me into his study to pet my dog head, and even my youngest brother, the clan's precious darling, loved flashing an angelic smile before licking my fur.

But, oh God! I'm a dog! Not a wolf!

I grew up in the wolf pack in constant fear. Finally, when I was about to come of age, my family all furrowed their brows.

"Why hasn't He learned to bite through his prey's neck yet?" My third brother knitted his handsome brows, full of worry.

"Little He's paws and teeth haven't developed properly." My second brother calmly pried open my mouth, then squeezed my hand and spoke with reason.

"What will Little He do in the future?" Even my eldest brother, who usually wore a gentle smile, now sat in the main seat with one leg crossed and his head propped on his hand, smiling helplessly. "Little He, what do you think?"

"I..."

My tongue and legs were trembling.

"Maybe I should..."

Go back to the dog pack.

"Maybe we should just raise you for the rest of your life."

My three wolf family members turned to me at the same time, smiling warmly.

Maybe multiple endings. The shou is a little timid, but has a strong instinct for survival, and is the target of overwhelming one-sided affection. I'll start writing once I have enough pre-orders.

The main story is told in third person.

Theme: Do not be for nothing
