Lin Yanheng stays up all night playing a game centered on running a school. When he wakes, he discovers that he's really transmigrated into a novel about a prestigious academy, and brought along the game's principal simulator.
This prestigious academy is a lawless place in every sense of the word, and its students are a motley crowd, ranked into tiers according to their family backgrounds.
In the original story, the poor top student in his year is bullied and coerced by the academy's F4. He comes down with a high fever on the day of a crucial exam and misses his chance. A genius art student whose entrance-exam work astounds the industry is targeted by a deranged school bully and locked in a dark room. To stop him from escaping, the bully even destroys his precious hands. Countless other ordinary students with good grades but unremarkable family backgrounds are likewise oppressed by the aristocratic students.
Lin Yanheng: A real lawless place? Perfect!
The first school rule: Academic scores (stats) come above all. Monthly assessments determine advancement: move up or move out. Dorm accommodations are assigned by year level, and competition awards earn bonus points.
The school's cleaning costs are too high? Slash them all. Make the students with bad grades do the cleaning. It's not like they study anyway.
Failed the monthly exams but don't want to leave? Easy. Have your parents pay to extend your enrollment, and use some of the money to help the poor top student.
The campus F4 are forming a clique and bullying people? They have too much energy. Put them through military-style training. If it doesn't kill them, make them train harder.

After a sweeping reform, the formerly top-ranking aristocratic students spend their days either scrubbing toilets or crammed into dorms with nine roommates because their grades are so poor. They hate the new principal, Lin Yanheng, and are just about to collectively complain to their parents and make him look bad. Then, at a banquet the next evening, they see their own parents fussing over Lin Yanheng.
"Principal Lin, my son used to do nothing but race cars and hang around bars. Now he can even join projects and win awards. You're amazing!"
"Principal Lin, I was really worried about handing my company over to that good-for-nothing kid. Now that you're keeping an eye on him, I feel much better!"
"Principal Lin, does the school still need investors? My kid was always neglected and went astray. I'd like to send him to you."
The aristocratic students: "..." Can we even stay at this school?!

Much later, the chief researcher at the Imperial Capital's number-one research institute, a genius painter whose works sell for hundreds of millions at auction, and the top mecha engineer in the army, who founded an entirely new school of design, all publish messages thanking Lin Yanheng.
Lin Yanheng smiles at the camera. "Don't mention it. It's what I should do."
Back home, Lin Yanheng is pulled into the cool, possessive embrace of someone waiting for him.
Low-born, yet risen to power through military achievements over countless corpses, the mad tyrant in the eyes of outsiders rests his head on Lin Yanheng's shoulder and sighs deeply. "Teacher, why couldn't I have met you sooner?"
*School management, scum-villain punishment, and face-slapping. While running the school, the protagonist has the mindset of a thoroughly chaotic player: all he cares about is raising stats and getting every achievement. There will be plenty of scenes of characters being tormented.
*The love interest is not the protagonist's student.
Theme: Study hard and make progress every day
