My Roommate Keeps Trying to Mark Me

*A let-loose, kink-driven story, also known as Please Stop Pretending to Be a Beta Yun Zhou comes from an ordinary family and is one of the 95 percent of the world's population who are betas. To him, alphas and omegas are the kind of people you only ever see on the news. Until one day, Yun Zhou discovers that his roommate is an alpha pretending to be a beta, and is even trying to drug him into becoming an omega so he can mark him. Yun Zhou promptly applies to change rooms. The bad news is that his new roommate is also pretending to be a beta. The good news is that this one's an omega, so he doesn't have to worry about a repeat of the last disaster. Until he catches his roommate stealing his underwear to get through a heat, and finds that his phone is full of photos secretly taken while stalking him. Yun Zhou: "..." Is this normal? Don't you people have projects to work on, group meetings to attend, and advisers to slave for? Am I really the only miserable grad student here? When he has to change rooms again, Yun Zhou tries to prevent another disaster by asking his new roommate, whose registration says beta: "May I ask if you're actually an alpha or an omega? I promise I won't tell anyone!" His new roommate gives him a bemused look. "Neither." Apparently, he'd heard about Yun Zhou's previous experiences from the dorm supervisor. He adds coolly, "I'm not interested in you." Yun Zhou is reassured. Later... Yun Zhou stares at his third roommate, eyes bloodshot as he pins Yun Zhou to the bed, and feels exactly as the title suggests. "Wait, didn't you say before?!" "I really am neither an alpha nor an omega," the man says, slowly biting the back of his neck, his voice low and husky. "I'm an Enigma." An Enigma who can mark even betas. * A beta who just wants a peaceful life x an Enigma who's prickly at first and becomes the champion of backstabbing and scheming later. A melodramatic, trashy campus ABO story. * Enigmas are generally considered stronger than alphas and can mark betas. This story has a ton of original worldbuilding. * The bottom attracts crazy people. The top is the craziest person in the whole book, but he's good at hiding it. Coming soon: Marked in a Moment of Amnesia Mu Yan has had a crush on Chen Zhan for years, but he knows Chen only treats him differently because he's the son of Chen's mentor. At a banquet, someone drugs Chen Zhan. The normally gentlemanly alpha loses all reason, and Mu Yan gives in to a sudden delusion, stepping forward and letting Chen mark him. Afterward, Mu Yan braces himself on his aching body and uses a whole stack of pheromone blockers, pretending nothing happened. Chen Zhan can't tolerate the slightest deception. If he finds out Mu Yan has feelings for him, then even if Mu Yan's father once helped him, Chen won't keep Mu Yan at his side. Mu Yan touches the skin on the back of his neck, still sore from the alpha's rough treatment, and thinks that this is already enough. * The fact that an omega has been marked can't be hidden. Rumors about Mu Yan spread through their social circle, and Chen Zhan offers to marry him to help. The rumors stop at once, and a spark of hope rekindles in Mu Yan's heart, until he overhears Chen Zhan talking to his mother. "Are you sure you want to do this?" "I promised my mentor I'd look after him. I have a responsibility to him, and marriage never meant anything to me anyway." "Is it really just a responsibility?" Chen Zhan raises an eyebrow and asks with a smile, "What else would it be?" Mu Yan's heart dies completely, and he becomes even more determined never to let Chen Zhan learn the truth. Later... "A-Yan," Chen Zhan says, holding back the jealousy that's nearly driving him mad and forcing himself to maintain his refined, gentlemanly facade. "Tell me, who exactly is that person?" * The top is jealous of himself. A gentleman on the surface, secretly consumed by jealousy. Marriage first, love later. * Powerful, possessive older top x obedient beauty who's been in love for years. Theme: Stay mentally grounded and love life.
