Serious blurb:
Long, long ago, the top picked up an injured little wolf cub, all gray and scruffy, who loved to bite and scratch.
The young man had a bit of a fluff fetish. He looked the little wolf cub over from every angle, then smiled as he tucked the angry little ball of fur that had bitten him into his arms to warm his hands. "You want to come home with me, don't you?"
Like hell I do!
*
He fed it, and it bristled.
He applied herbal medicine, and it bit him.
He tucked it in his arms to sleep, and it spent the whole night howling in his ear and keeping him awake.
When he accidentally touched its fluffy little bell, the wolf cub's fur puffed up in every direction. It bared its sharp teeth and cursed in a sinister voice: "Idiot! Hypocrite! Shameless scoundrel! Stinking cultivator, one day I'll leave you dead without a corpse!"
The little wolf cub howled until it was exhausted. Unable to fight off its sleepiness, it ended up lying in a daze against the Immortal Venerable's steady, peaceful heartbeat.
It fell asleep.
*
Later, the Immortal Venerable died as the wolf cub had wished, and the little wolf cub became a notorious Demon Venerable.
He was reborn in the body of a sickly invalid. Wandering past his own grave, he saw a man dressed all in black, lithe and graceful, sitting before it and drinking jar after jar of wine.
Snow covered his hair and shoulders.
The man's voice was hoarse and heavy with sorrow. "Master. You really are so heartless."
"You haven't come back to see me in all these years."
The Immortal Venerable's heart ached.
Then the man continued, "If you dare come back, your disciple will imprison you in Luomo Palace, tie your hands, seal your cultivation, and cut open your chest to see what kind of heart you have."
The Immortal Venerable stiffened. "..."
Ha ha.
He'd been dead for too long, and his little disciple had gone mad.

"People say I was born a demon, heartless and cruel, a monster who would be ruled by an instinct for bloodshed and violence."
"People say that if this child is not eliminated, the world will never know peace."
"But he turned aside the blades, swords, spears, and halberds of those who tried to kill me in my cradle, and brought me back to the springlike Ling Shuang Palace. He taught me to read and write, taught me right from wrong, good from evil, and taught me to live freely, following my heart."
"He taught a naturally heartless demon to cultivate a seven-aperture exquisite heart."

The unserious blurb from the top's perspective:
(Wandering around)
What's this? Oh, a fluffy little wolf cub.
(Sits bolt upright) What! Fluffy!
I'll take it.
I'll take it!
Though you are a creature born of demonic magic, you have a coat so glossy and smooth. Fortunately, I know a thing or two about taming and grooming, so I might as well give it a try.

Right.
A fluffy little thing that, after I keep picking it up, cuddling, stroking, and kissing it, just goes red-eyed, silently retracts its sharp claws and teeth.
