Sheng Yubai vs. Shen Lixuan
There’s a cannon-fodder lovesick fool in some novels who falls for someone he can’t love. He stubbornly pursues this love, only to end up with nothing. He’s left vicious and spiteful, having done every kind of wicked deed, domineering and autocratic, and branded with a terrible reputation.
Sheng Yubai happens to be bound to a cannon-fodder lovesick-fool roleplay System. If he acts out the plot and earns enough points, he can come back to life and go home.
But can someone explain why, just as he’s finished the entire plot and is about to fake his death and exit the story, the plot starts falling apart?

[Wealthy Family]: A rich playboy heir who forces himself on the protagonist shou and is poisoned to the bone in revenge vs. a childhood-friend CEO shou who breaks in and robs the gong blind, leaving him with nothing
Shen Shi falls in love with his junior at first sight. Even though the junior is about to get engaged, Shen Shi ruthlessly steals him away and forces him to agree to marry him.
Only Shen Shi knows that his junior’s fiance is after his money. He wants the junior to take on his enormous debts and bail him out.
He can’t bear to watch the person he loves leap into a pit of fire.
Years into their marriage, they’re still like strangers. Then Shen Shi starts suffering frequent stomachaches, coughing up blood, losing his vision, and feeling his limbs grow stiff and painful.
With trembling hands, Shen Shi grips the diagnosis stating that he’s been poisoned. He staggers home, only to stumble upon the protagonist shou cheating with his white moonlight.
He stands rooted to the spot, his face as pale as snow, and thinks in a daze:
I was the one in the wrong after all.
I shouldn’t have forced him into this marriage. I shouldn’t have acted on a whim. I shouldn’t have thought that time and sincerity could make him look at me even once.
Shen Shi agrees to the divorce.
On the day his “beloved” moves out of the Shen family home, Sheng Yubai can finally stop pretending. He happily books a flight to the Ice and Snow World, then spends the whole day watching movies with the System.
Sheng Yubai has kept his poisoning under wraps. His second younger brother can hold the Shen family together, so even if he dies, the family won’t collapse.
With the plot entering its death-fake countdown, Sheng Yubai plans to have a great time before he exits.
His childhood friend, who’s been abroad for years, hears that he’s divorced and immediately books a flight back home. He even gives him a luxury apartment overlooking the sea to celebrate the divorce, then very gentlemanly tells him he can lean on his shoulder if he’s feeling down.
Sheng Yubai is deeply moved, then accidentally spits blood all over his childhood friend’s neatly pressed suit.
After that, the plot starts falling apart.
His childhood friend goes crazy and takes revenge. Second Young Master Shen comes all the way to beat someone into the hospital and expose everything, ruining the protagonists’ happily-ever-after.
Sheng Yubai stares in shock as the plot he worked so hard to clear goes completely off the rails: ?!
Blergh, my points!

[Entertainment Industry]: A quiet, withdrawn genius director who keeps a canary and gives him money and opportunities, only to have his scandals exposed, his reputation destroyed, and get hit by a car in revenge vs. a shou who holds power over a wealthy family and can decide who lives or dies
[Xianxia]: A cold, aloof immortal revered as a zunjun, who cuts out his immortal bones to save his disciple and loses all his cultivation, then falls into an endless abyss beneath his disciple’s cold, hateful gaze vs. a great demon shou
[Interstellar]: A prince gong who falls for the protagonist shou at first sight and pursues him relentlessly, only to be exploited, drained of everything he’s worth, and tricked into going to the battlefield to die vs. a cold marshal shou
[ABO]: (Not written yet)
“Love that others treat as worthless is an impossible longing for him.”
[The Real World]:
Shen Lixuan has never thought of himself as anything but the one who came along later. He doesn’t dare fight or compete, and grits his teeth as he watches that person pursue the one they love.
Every time, he watches the person he treasures fall to pieces, like a moth rushing into a flame and burning to ash.
Until he opens his eyes once more, reborn in Sheng Yubai’s original world.
This time, he’s the one who first finds the sickly, gaunt young man, lonely and with nowhere to turn.
This story is also known as “The Villain Takes the Throne Series” and “Get Lost, You Tasteless Thing.”
The original character loves the wrong person + won’t speak up + misunderstandings + melodrama + a tragic ending
Sheng Yubai appears in parallel worlds
The shou is the same person, the ending is happy, and the gong and shou are each other’s first love
The world order is undecided
The character is sickly in the later part of the small world (though, actually, he isn’t all that weak)
A collection of vulgar, clichéd, melodramatic, indescribable kinks... Readers who are extremely protective of the gong or shou, please give this one a pass. I’ve already upset a lot of people, and I’m truly sorry. As it turns out, the only person I can guarantee I won’t upset 100% is the author.
