The Observer Effect

Genius at science subjects with an IQ off the charts | Quantum physics x neuroscience | Academic sparring to falling in love over time

Content warning: The plot moves fast, I have no idea what I'm writing, this is pure nonsense, and I can't write. A lot of the wording may be off, so I'm sorry in advance. Please steer clear if that's not for you!!!

Mi Xuqing | Quantum physicist | Romantic observer x Cui Shangheng | Neuroscientist | Cold-blooded determinist

First meeting (sparks fly): At an international academic summit, quantum physicist Mi Xuqing and neuroscientist Cui Shangheng get into a heated debate over whether consciousness can affect quantum states. They part on bad terms.

Testing the waters (at odds): Cui Shangheng pretends to invite Mi Xuqing to collaborate on a research project, but is really testing his academic principles. Mi Xuqing sees right through him and coldly refuses.

Reunion (bound by fate): Six months later, the two unexpectedly become rivals at one of the country's top laboratories, but an accident during an experiment forces them to work together.

Working together (reason unravels): As they spend their days and nights together, the two men who put reason above all else find that formulas can no longer explain the "abnormal data" between them.

Aurora (a declaration in equations): Beneath the Northern Lights in Iceland, Mi Xuqing rewrites a love poem using the Schrodinger equation, while Cui Shangheng responds with neural encoding, shattering "uncertainty."

The pinnacle (honors and love): Their research causes a sensation in the academic world, and both are nominated for the Nobel Prize in Physics. On the podium, Cui Shangheng publicly admits, "My brain needs your quantum perturbations."
