Hagiwara and the Invisible Ghost

Mikazuki Kure died in Shizuoka, in March, when the Kawazu cherry blossoms were in full bloom.

At the moment the bomb exploded, he suddenly remembered the deafening blast in a building the previous November.

So death was this simple.

His consciousness sank, and darkness enveloped him.

When Mikazuki Kure opened his eyes again, he seemed to have returned to his days at the police academy.

Only this time, he wasn't a student. He was a ghost trapped by someone's side, unable to move more than five meters away from that person.

Mikazuki Kure: ...

He tried to run, but the moment he went even a little too far, an invisible force dragged him back to that person's side.

So the newly dead ghost could only crouch outside the bathroom, head bowed, listening to the rush of water and thinking that he seemed to be dead.

That person seemed to be dead too.

But now that person was alive, and only he was dead.

Mikazuki Kure secretly glanced up at the glass door clouded with steam and thought that maybe this wasn't so bad.

[Separation is our inevitable fate. I am always walking the road to death. But the flowers along the way are in full bloom. I stop for him, and shield him once from the storm.]

A few friendly reminders:

1. Open ending, though it could also count as an unconventional happy ending. A cozy, everyday story. The author thinks it's quite sweet, but how sweet it feels depends on the reader.

2. It probably won't be very long. Hagi is the top. OOC warning.
