My Childhood Friend Keeps Wasting Their Lifespan

---Important: This is the author's first novel, and it's immature. I've let loose, so click with caution. A nonsensical blurb because I don't know what to say. Click to read some clingy childhood-friend fluff. (With cryptic, stream-of-consciousness elements.) In his previous life, Yukikawa Rena was a fake liquor. Every day, he dutifully worked alongside his silver-haired boss Gin. When he got tired, he'd go cling to his only surviving childhood friend to recharge. He never expected to die because of an accident. He died, then came back to life, reborn seven years in the past. He thought this was heaven's reward for his hard work, but he never expected one mystery after another to come shrouding him. A mother who appeared out of nowhere, extra members in the Organization... You lower your eyes and tuck away your sharp claws obediently in front of your childhood friend. Your blue eyes blink repeatedly, but your thoughts have already drifted somewhere far away. "Hey? Rena-chan, are you listening?" You look up and smile innocently. "I am!" Seeing you like this, your childhood friend knows you haven't taken in a single word he just said. He rubs his forehead and sighs helplessly. "You're always like this, Rena-chan. It makes people worry." You gently shake your head, wrap your arms around your childhood friend, and pat his back to comfort him. "Don't worry. I'll be fine." Your childhood friend protests: "Don't put yourself in danger, okay?" "You should worry about yourself, Zero-chan." You don't give him a direct answer, skillfully dodging the question. [Host has successfully exchanged for one minute of time. Rewinding to one minute ago.] [Host has seven years and six months of life remaining.] You hug your childhood friend even tighter, your cool fingertips brushing his shoulder. In a place no one can see, your fingers tremble. Where your childhood friend can't see, blood spills from the corner of your mouth, and your whole body is in unbearable pain. It's okay. There's still lots of time. You tell yourself that. There's time. I can do this. I won't let history repeat itself. Everyone will live. Also known as: How Long Can Yukikawa Survive? and My Childhood Friend Seems to Be Doomed to Die (?) After being reborn, the five from the Police Academy will be saved from their fates. The protagonist is the sixth member of the Police Academy group. This is a silly fanfic with a heavily altered plot, so don't overthink it. The main story is told in the third person. [Based mainly on the anime, so don't expect rigorous canon research (it hurts).] If it's not for you, please move along~ Here's an upcoming story, just hoping it rings a bell [cat nuzzle] 1. A derivative work, paired with Chuuya. A sweet little romance. Theme: Love and hope bring new beginnings.
