1.
Sanjotao is a first-year university student who was specially admitted as an outstanding athlete. Her major is...
Hunting aliens!
Hunting aliens is exhausting work. Sanjotao has even developed the bad habit of taking naps of all sizes whenever and wherever she can to recover her strength. Her homeroom teacher has reprimanded and lectured her many times, but Sanjotao has never taken it to heart.
Then one day, during military training at the start of the school year, she hacked the alien in front of her to death once again, collapsed in the middle of its dark purple gore, and promptly fell asleep.
But when she opened her eyes again, she was horrified to discover that the aliens humanity had once guarded against so fiercely were now all over the streets! There were even several of them hanging off every random person!
Sanjotao: ...I only took a nap. Did they really reproduce that fast?
At long last, Sanjotao understood the good intentions behind her teacher's words. If she'd known that napping whenever and wherever she wanted would lead to this, she would have listened and waited until she got back to her dorm. Seriously, how did these things reproduce so fast?
Sanjotao grabbed the somewhat rusty giant cleaver from behind her and charged at the aliens again, just as she always had.
The next second, the onlookers screamed and scattered. Every face was filled with panic and fear. The police arrived at breakneck speed and raised their guns. A loudspeaker blared one stern warning after another:
"We've got you surrounded! Drop your weapon immediately! Surrender!"
Model student Sanjotao: ...?
Only later did Sanjotao learn that those grotesque, twisted aliens had been renamed curses, and had even evolved the ability to remain invisible to ordinary people.
Sanjotao: ...?
Wait, you aliens are seriously sneaky! Evolving in that direction is cheating!
"I'll say it again," her newly appointed homeroom teacher, Yaga Masamichi, roared, struggling to keep the vein in his forehead from bulging again. "They're not aliens! They haven't been renamed. They've always been called curses!"
Sanjotao: "Really? I don't believe you."
2.
As a staunch human supremacist, Sanjotao decided, after joining her new class, to spread her doctrine... ahem, her philosophy of life, to the whole school.
To the weird-haired classmate who enslaves aliens: "The strong protect the weak. Jujutsu sorcerers protect non-sorcerers."
Sanjotao: "The world belongs to humanity! So when are you going to teach me to enslave aliens?"
To the white-haired, sunglasses-wearing classmate who rejects the greater good: "I hate the greater good more than anything!"
Sanjotao: "The world belongs to humanity! So when are you going to teach me absolute defense?"
To the healing-type classmate who smokes and drinks: "Sanjotao, want a drink?"
Sanjotao: "The world belongs to humanity! So when are you going to teach me healing holy light?"
To the serious underworld teacher giving a lesson: "Sanjotao, say it again! They're not aliens, they're curses!"
Sanjotao: "The world belongs to humanity! So when are you going to let me take out those aliens behind the mountain?"
Weird-haired classmate / white-haired, sunglasses-wearing classmate / healing-type classmate / underworld teacher: "...Why don't you listen to what people are saying first? Could you stop repeating those same two lines every time you see someone like a robot?!"
Sanjotao: "The world belongs to humanity! Believe in humanity. We may not gain eternal life, but we can find everlasting peace of mind!"
The healing-type classmate asked curiously, "How do you find everlasting peace of mind?"
Sanjotao pulled the giant cleaver from behind her and smiled. "If you're dead, don't you have everlasting peace of mind?"
