The Monster's Discordant Prelude

[Please stop turning this into gibberish for no reason, I beg you]

1.

From the moment I was born, I knew that "Mother" didn't love me.

But it doesn't matter, because I love "Mother" so much. Even if he doesn't love me, I still love "Mother."

2.

Years ago, Kamo Noritoshi possessed a woman who had just given birth. He didn't like the extra child. Fortunately, the child was clever and obedient enough that he could at least go along with playing at being a family.

But eventually, he grew tired of the game and changed bodies. He never expected the child to be almost absolutely certain that "Mother" hadn't died.

Over the long years, she followed the traces of "Mother's" existence like a hyena, guided by her innate intuition and talent.

3.

Someone stopped Itadori Yuji to hit on him. His two classmates seemed to be teasing him, but he couldn't quite hear them. He only felt that the eyes reflecting his image looked like jars of honey kissed by the sun, slowly spilling golden honey.

Yuri Mana took the boy's hand and brought it to her nose, sniffing. The familiar scent made her break into a delighted smile. She asked, "Do you know my mother?"

Her tone was full of certainty.

"H-huh?" Itadori Yuji's face flushed red. Coming back to his senses, he shook his head. "Sorry, I... don't think I know your mother."

"That's okay." The girl's smile remained as bright and radiant as ever. She smiled and asked, "Then can I know your name? I'm Yuri Mana."

Itadori Yuji, blushing, stammered out his name.

Yuri Mana blinked, her gaze settling on the gold buttons of Itadori Yuji's uniform jacket. The smile on her face grew even brighter, and she cheered almost gleefully, "See you tomorrow, Yuji."

See you tomorrow, child of my beloved "Mother."

My little brother.

*They aren't related by blood and aren't registered as members of the same household

*He isn't really her little brother
