Only the Cherries Remember

Cold and ruthless seme x sensible and devoted uke. Original title: Cherry Kiss Goodbye (same as the cover)

By chance, I met Shen Caihui.

I could tell almost at a glance that we were alike.

It felt as if this wasn't our first meeting. His name seemed strangely familiar to me, but I couldn't remember anything about him.

The second time I saw him was at his mother's funeral. He seemed to have something to say to me, but I ran away.

Instinctively, I didn't want to get close to him. It was as if being near him would plunge me into an endless abyss of pain.

The third time I saw him was at my front door. He wanted to find a job in the city, so he asked if he could stay at my place. I agreed.

But he wasn't really focused on finding a job. Instead, he did things around the house that made me feel terribly burdened.

He tried hard to show me how sensible and capable he was, making it clear that he liked me.

But he wasn't my type.

I didn't hate being loved by someone so sincere and devoted, and I didn't mind sleeping with him or kissing him.

But I never date people I'm not interested in. That's a principle of mine.

Even though I knew that, a long time ago, we might have shared some happy memories, which could explain why he still remembered me so fondly and put me on a pedestal, I still said every cruel, rejecting thing I could think of.

I look down on your job.

I don't like the way you talk.

I can't accept that you're intellectually disabled.

And the fact that you're an illegitimate child... I find it disgusting.

At that moment, I must have been awful. Those were the most vicious things I'd ever said in my life.

He stayed at my place until the deadline I'd given him. During that time, he kept struggling to hold on, but I could already hear him losing his nerve.

He must have used up all his courage by then.

#Read Before Starting#

○ First-person, seme's POV (the side story is from the uke's POV; I recommend reading the main story first)

○ The seme is not pure; the uke is mildly intellectually disabled (he understands what sex is)

○ It will be released for free on October 1, so come read it~ The opening pace is a little slow (because the seme is a chatterbox), so make sure you get through the first three chapters!

*The excerpt in the synopsis is taken from Pablo Neruda's "Every Day You Play".

Theme: Love ends like rain, and falls like tears.
