Stay Away from the Noble Academy, or You'll Be Unfortunate

A story set at an elite academy, but the shou, Zhu Sixing, is an aristocrat, while the commoner students are the F4.

Qiao Mu Private High School’s adored “school belle” traded her intelligence for good luck at birth and stunning beauty. She’s failed so many classes that even her older brother has had enough, issuing an ultimatum: If you fail even one class this semester, I’m cutting off your allowance.

The foolish school belle hates studying and loves throwing money around. She also has a mischievous streak. To keep her astronomical allowance, she sets her sights on several top-performing transfer students.

F1, the aloof top student, thinks highly of himself and firmly believes knowledge is wealth. He looks down equally on Zhu Sixing and the aristocrats who fawn over him. Despite the envy of others, he repeatedly turns down Zhu Sixing’s tutoring requests with a cold expression.

F2, the dark-skinned athlete, is a homophobic straight guy. Faced with Zhu Sixing, who’s as pretty as a flower, his gaydar goes off, and he avoids him like the plague. When his dormmates tease him about becoming the school belle’s kept man, he angrily declares, “Just seeing gay men makes me want to throw up!”

F3 is a stingy gold-digger, vain and materialistic, always scheming to make money. He even repeatedly refills a bottle of glacier water with tap water so he can show off. To get in good with Zhu Sixing, a naive rich beauty, he works while making money hand over fist. As he washes Zhu Sixing’s underwear, he darkly thinks that once he succeeds in climbing the ladder, he’ll max out Zhu Sixing’s black card.

F4 is an illegitimate son kept out of sight, with a twisted personality. He was originally the Zhu family housekeeper’s son and grew up as the Zhu family’s young master’s sidekick and childhood friend. In his teens, the Yan family suddenly claimed him as their own. But when he faces his wealthy, legitimate eldest brother, heir to a life of riches and splendor, he grows insecure, gloomy, and jealous, especially after learning that his brother is Zhu Sixing’s arranged-marriage partner. When he reunites with his former young master at the private high school, he comes to seduce him with a dark motive in mind, secretly vowing to make his so-called older brother suffer the way he did.

Zhu Sixing has no idea. He approaches F1 only for help with his studies, befriends F2 only to get a free personal trainer, and only goes for F3 because his brother cut off most of his allowance, leaving him with no money to spend, and someone has offered to give him money.

Everyone says Yan Xiyue dotes on his fiancée, and that they’ll be the perfect couple after they marry.

He heard the man ask, in a satisfied voice, “Do I kiss you better, or does Yan Zhuoyun?”

F3 worked day and night to earn money to give Zhu Sixing, but he never got to climb the ladder. All he got was Zhu Sixing paying him back double. “Sorry, my husband won’t let me spend other men’s money.”

F3’s eyes turned bloodshot. Why?! He could earn money too! Why wouldn’t Zhu Sixing spend his money?!
