A gorgeous, aloof sword cultivator who devotes himself to the Dao and only loves practicing swordsmanship, a double-standard bottom X
His unruly, petty, vengeful life-bound sword, the top
Ziluoyi has a sword. By a twist of fate, he forced the sword to form a bond with him.
The sword has a spirit, and its sword spirit is mischievous. It turns his life upside down and yells at him, its master, all the time.
Ziluoyi is a renowned sword cultivator in the cultivation world. Everyone says he has no worldly desires, that his captivating face is wasted on a genius who cultivates the Heartless Dao. Naturally, he doesn't indulge the sword.
When it misbehaves, he gives it a beating.
Then he soothes it afterward. He has plenty of strength and plenty of ways to handle it.
But one day, Ziluoyi was ambushed. As he lay dying, all he could think was that his disobedient sword might get beaten to death in someone else's hands. If only he'd treated it more gently.
Tingshu is that sword.
The person who took him home was so beautiful. Though he sometimes neglected him and occasionally gave him a light smack, Tingshu had almost been ready to accept him as his master. Then that sword cultivator died.
Some others took him away, but Tingshu refused to accept anyone else as his master and sealed himself away.
Until one day, the sword, stored high on a shelf, heard a series of screams outside. His master, who had been dead for hundreds of years, had beaten someone up and then strolled in empty-handed, saying coolly, “I've come for my sword.”
“Tingshu, ”
The sword heard him calling its name and immediately tore the Sword Pavilion apart, reducing it to rubble. Surely that man would like such a grand reunion, it thought!
Ziluoyi: Oh! Looks like I'll have to pay for the damage again. I should've known better than to come looking for my sword.
Oh, well. It's his only sword, after all. He's already found a new way to make it completely obedient to him.
Ziluoyi quietly cleaned up the mess. He was just about to appeal to the sword's feelings and reason with it when, to his surprise, it suddenly caught on and grabbed him, kissing him.
He... He does like this sword, but it's a sword! ...Uh, it seems it's more than just a sword. Lost in its incredible skills, Ziluoyi realizes that it seems to be his Dao companion, too.
Tense and confrontational at first, then inseparable. A story about two people who made grand declarations, only to have both their words come back to face-slapping them.
P.S.:
1. One-on-one, two equally strong leads, sword-spirit top and cultivator bottom. Don't get the pairing backward. Happy ending.
2. They aren't really fighting, more like light smacks. A very sweet story.
A little promo for my upcoming novel. Please add it to your reading list:
《I Became the Client of My Fake-Death Fiancée》:
A rich, silly sweetheart top X a money-loving, disabled ghost bottom (in a wheelchair at first, but recovers later)
There is a kind of person in this world known as a mirror maker.
It's said that a bronze mirror made by a mirror maker can reveal the soul of the person you love.
But since making one consumes the maker's lifespan and vital essence, a mirror maker only makes three mirrors in their life: one for themselves, one for their wife, and one to sell.
But Xu Gengshu is an exception.
He's greedy for money, and thanks to his extraordinary talent, he's turned mirror-making into a booming business.
Wen Shangqi had a fiancée since childhood. She was sweet and well-behaved, but later met with a tragic misfortune and died for no apparent reason. After spending a fortune and going to great lengths, he finally found a mirror maker and asked him to make a bronze mirror.
That mirror maker was Xu Gengshu. Taking his responsibility to every customer seriously, he personally delivered the mirror to Wen Shangqi.
Wen Shangqi eagerly looked into it, only to be startled!
Why did the soul reflected in the mirror look exactly like the mirror maker? No matter how he looked at it, there was no way his soft, sweet fiancée could have turned into a sharp-featured man!
Wen Shangqi: Give me my money back.
His career had suffered a disastrous setback. Xu Gengshu kept an icy expression on the outside, but cursed inwardly as he tried to find out what had gone wrong.
Senior Brother: Junior Brother Xu is extraordinarily talented. There's no way he could make a faulty mirror.
Second Senior Sister: Xiaoshu is the most diligent and hardworking person around. That mirror definitely has nothing wrong with it.
Then there was only one possible explanation: Xu Gengshu himself was the dead fiancée?
Question: To avoid giving a refund, should he offer himself to his client?
P.S.: Completely made up from beginning to end. Wen is the top, Xu is the bottom. Happy ending. The pairing is fixed and will not be reversed or split up.
Theme: Everyone has a talent that can be put to good use.
