My Traditional Husband Is a Little Stutterer

Lu Zhilu, the eldest young master of the Lu family, was raised on feudal doctrines and always did as his family told him. He married because of an arranged marriage.

His young wife was beautiful, with a graceful figure in a long blue robe and a red beauty mark at the corner of his eye that was irresistibly alluring. Unfortunately, he had a stutter.

On their wedding night, his young wife sat at the foot of the bed, springtime desire shining in his watery eyes. His slender, pale fingers clutched Lu Zhilu's sleeve. "I will be... good and do as I'm told."

Lu Zhilu's breath caught. His heart melted completely, and that very night, he couldn't resist consummating the marriage.

The poor little stutterer couldn't even manage a complete sentence before the pounding shattered his voice into fragments.

The Zhuang family had fallen on hard times. His father had broken his leg, and his mother's eyesight had been ruined by years of toil. Zhuang Tingyu took on the burden of supporting them, hawking goods along the streets from a young age.

The Lu family's old master was in poor health and sought a marriage to bring him good fortune. At first glance, he took a liking to Zhuang Tingyu.

And so, Zhuang Tingyu was forced to marry Lu Zhilu.

But his husband was nothing like the gentle man he'd imagined. He was cold and hard-tempered. On the surface, he was all propriety, but deep down, he was terribly cruel and loved to torment people.

Night after night, Zhuang Tingyu was tossed about until, before long, he ended up with a child.

After ten months of pregnancy, the baby arrived with a cry. Zhuang Tingyu soothed the baby to sleep, then told Lu Zhilu, "Father said that if I had a baby, he'd let me go home."

"You're my wife. You'll stay with the Lu family for the rest of your life."

Zhuang Tingyu grew frantic. "N-no, you can't take it back!"
