Helping My Imperial Sister Ascend the Throne Again Today

It's finished! The world has become all-female. My next novel will be Can You Hear Me? A gentle, slow-witted older woman x an outgoing, cheerful younger woman. Yan Ciyou had three things to be upset about this year. First, after striving and scheming for years, she still failed to win the throne from her elder sister when their mother died. Second, her new-empress sister made Yan Ciyou and her faction responsible for their mother's funeral rites as one of her first acts in office. Every day, they were walking on thin ice. Third, she happened to be nearby on the day Yan Xianchun was assassinated. To prove her loyalty, Yan Ciyou rushed forward to take the blade for her. She hadn't expected to actually die. Even death brought her no peace. An unknown ball of light calling itself the System immediately dragged her to a strange place. In an unfamiliar, shabby room, a dashing woman smiled at her. “Your Highness, you're awake?” Yan Ciyou: “Huh?” Sheng Youhuai raised an eyebrow, studied her for a moment, then frowned. “You're not Princess Duanrong.” Yan Ciyou pointed at herself in confusion. “Me?” Who? What? This princess? At the System's request, Yan Ciyou began learning about this place from Sheng Youhuai. Then she suddenly realized... She had seen a similar world in stories disguised as myths and in books hidden deep within the imperial palace. The existence of the Mother-Child River had turned glaring pain into buried history. If you pretend you don't know, can it become just a nightmare? Why did you come to this world? Is it painful because we share the same fate? You have always known what you need to do, haven't you? Come on. Save this place. Reader's Guide: 1. The world was all-female before the transmigration, and the ending makes it all-female after the transmigration too. It really is an all-female world, with no men at all. Reproduction can happen through parthenogenesis or between two women. More details about my personal worldbuilding are in the author's note for Chapter One. 2. Unless otherwise stated, all characters are women. Animals are referred to with “it.” 3. This is a wish-fulfillment novel that doesn't require much thought. The political maneuvering doesn't hold up to close scrutiny. 4. Criticism and suggestions are welcome. I'll do my best to improve anything that falls short. Theme: Do what you can.
