My Favorite Author Is a Pigeon Spirit

Lin Yan is a struggling web-novel writer.

She’s also a professional flake, in more ways than one.

As a flake, Lin Yan can barely make ends meet with her excellent prose and tightly paced stories.

Then one day, while sunbathing in pigeon form, she slips and drops straight onto the balcony of the neighbor downstairs.

Her neighbor is beautiful and kind, and even gives her delicious food. Lin Yan almost decides to stay forever.

Heaven kindly grants her wish.

Lin Yan has to pretend to be an ordinary pigeon and listen as her devoted fan and neighbor confesses her love day after day.

Yu Fengshuang is a graphic designer whose only hobby is reading novels.

Unfortunately, her favorite author is a professional flake, and long delays and missed updates are the norm.

After she happens to find a pigeon, she learns that the author she adores lives right upstairs.

Yu Fengshuang rubs her hands together, ready to nag her for updates every day, only to discover that the author has gone missing!

She’s also been left to care for the author’s pigeon while waiting for the next update.

Then one morning, the pigeon turns into the author in her bed. With an awkward look, she says, “Hi.”

Yu Fengshuang smiles without warmth. “So you’ve been missing updates all this time because you’ve been freeloading at my place?”

Lin Yan pokes her fingers together. “And listening to you confess your love...”

Corrections and wording suggestions are welcome.

A sweet little story. The worldbuilding isn’t meant to be examined too closely.

I’ve done my best.
