The Swordmaster's Guide to Collecting Debts

[All-female cast. No further explanation needed.] Down-and-out fugitive x icy enforcement officer Nearly twenty years after the Battle of Guixu, Lu Mingwei crawled out of the Guixu Ruins. The world had changed in the blink of an eye. Refugees were everywhere, and the Immortal Alliance held all the power. Her master and senior sister, who had sent her into a spatial rift, had both perished. In the eyes of the world, they were criminals who had colluded with demonic cultivators. The once-renowned genius of a prestigious sect shed her robes and went alone to Yujing to clear her sect's name. * On the day the Immortal Alliance laid siege to her, three thousand cultivators attacked at once. Wherever the white robes passed, it was like snow burying a mountain. Lu Mingwei stood alone on a cliff's edge, blood and tears staining her broken sword. Her indigo robes had turned black, and every spiritual meridian in her body was severed, yet she still refused to bow her head. Behind her was a sheer drop into the sky. Before her lay scorched earth. Above that scorched earth, a spirit-sealing formation spread like a web, surrounding the entire sky as far as the eye could see. She looked up. A bloodstained figure in white came through the air and broke the spirit-sealing formation with a single sword strike, pointing the blade at her heart. At the last moment, the sword veered half an inch aside. The only sound was the long cry of the Heavenly Punishment Sword. Before she fell from the cliff, she tore the black cloth from the other's sleeve. * When she woke up, someone asked her name. After a moment's thought, she said, “Call me Five Million.” Once you deducted the losses suffered by Wujiumen, worth 4,999,818 high-grade spirit stones, that was exactly her height. 1. This is a xianxia world, but not traditional cultivation fantasy. The worldbuilding is extensive, so readers who care about rigorous details may want to skip it. 2. The story is plot-driven, with a slow-burn romance. Please skip it if that's not your thing. 3. One-on-one romance. Theme: Live with integrity and leave a good name for posterity.
