Losing Control on a Snowy Night

Xu Chao was raised by her grandmother. After her grandmother passed away, at just seventeen, she went to Nancheng to seek out the mother she'd never met.

On that hot, humid summer night, two women came to meet her at the station. One of them was Zhao Cenhuan.

Her mother, with her bold red lips, casually draped an arm over the woman beside her and said, "This is my bestie. Call her Auntie!"

The woman had exquisitely beautiful features and an elegant air. She only smiled faintly. "Just call me Aunt Zhao."

But to the girl, she was like the breeze and the bright moon.

In reality, her mother worked for the woman. She was her employer. When the truth came out, her mother sneered mockingly:

"Someone like you should stop dreaming of marrying into a rich family."

Xu Chao had thought that, as someone so lowly, that night was the closest she would ever get to the bright moon.

Until, on a snowy night in Nancheng years later, she kissed the woman's lips with near-brazen force, as if she wanted to break her apart and swallow her whole.

"Can someone like me love you?"
