Falling for You in Spring

Fifteen years ago, the romance drama Springtime, I'm in Love with You became a nationwide hit. Five-year-old Shi Yan fell for the youthful, beautiful female lead.

"Mom, that big sister is so pretty. When I grow up, I want to marry her."

Her mother corrected her. "She's an auntie. You can't get the generations mixed up."

Fifteen years later, thanks to her family's connections, Shi Yan entered the entertainment industry. Her first project paired her with Lin Qingyun, but Shi Yan played her daughter, while Lin Qingyun played her mother.

When reporters sharply questioned whether she had bought her way into the cast, Shi Yan answered without reservation that the role didn't matter. She could always go home and inherit the family fortune. She had joined the industry to follow her idol.

When reporters asked who it was, Shi Yan waved boldly at the camera, smiling without restraint. "Hi, Auntie Lin! Can you see me? I've liked you ever since Springtime, I'm in Love with You. I've watched every show you've ever done."

The year I fell for you, it was a bright spring day. You wore a white dress and walked through a field of rapeseed flowers. Pale yellow petals danced in your long hair. Your cheeks were fair with a rosy glow, and a little yellow pollen dusted the tip of your nose. Your red lips parted, and I could never forget that smile, not in a lifetime.

Now, as I confess my feelings to you, it's spring again, and you're still as beautiful as you were then.

Bold younger top, 20 x 40, twenty-year age gap, a fan wins her idol's heart.
