Little Girlfriend

When Cheng Nian turns eighteen, her family tells her she's been promised in marriage since childhood to Shen Yanhe, who is fifteen years older than her. They ask her to at least spend two years getting to know Shen Yanhe, and only call off the engagement if they truly can't get along.

Cheng Nian refuses at first, bluntly complaining to a friend: "This woman is cold, boring, taciturn, old, and everything about her sets off my warning bells."

Shen Yanhe is an aloof beauty among the rising stars of the business world. She handles everything with painstaking care and won't tolerate the slightest mistake. Outside of work, she couldn't care less about anything.

At a corporate reception, a young woman suddenly appears by the side of Shen Yanhe, who everyone considers pure and uninterested in romance. Faced with the teasing and ribbing, Shen Yanhe introduces her stiffly, expressionless: "My young girlfriend."

Cheng Nian immediately rolls her eyes inwardly, thinking she just has to endure it for two years.

But later, when Shen Yanhe goes abroad for business, Cheng Nian tosses and turns in bed, sending her voice messages one after another in a coaxing, affectionate tone: "How much longer until you get back? I miss you so, so much."
