Notes on Observing a Bad Cat

They say having two cats at home is like having two demons. These two in my house are genuinely little gods of calamity.

One is my Siamese-mix big brother. Aside from his looks, he inherited none of the breed's good qualities. In every other way, he and his possibly cow-patterned sibling are cut from the same cloth.

The other is my girlfriend's Jianzhou cat, a little sister she rescued. She's pretty, cute, friendly with everyone, and such a well-behaved cat. Well-behaved my foot. She's really a two-faced little green tea who pretends to be sweet, and the real little menace of the house.

I used to worry I might get bored staying home every day. I don't have to worry about that anymore. There's no time left to get bored.

Anyway, keeping cats is great. I warmly invite everyone to get a cat.

[I mostly call the two cats “big brother” and “little sister,” but sometimes use “he” and “she” to tell them apart.]

Theme: Cats are great, and cats can be bad, too.
