Making a Mistake with Your Master Is Only Human

[This is a story set in the Eastern Continent's cultivation world, part of the Four Continents: Past and Present Customs series]

[Short version: Be polite first, then resort to force. If acting cute doesn't work on your master, throw a tantrum instead.]

·

A certain master once looked at a pile of master-disciple romances with deep disdain. He thought, How could anyone fall for the brat they raised from childhood, the one inheriting their legacy?

Then he picked up a brat of his own.

Years later, when old friends condemned him for starting a master-disciple romance, he declared, "I raised her myself. I know better than anyone how wonderful she is. How could I not like her?"

·

When she was a few years younger, a certain junior sister once whispered to a friend, "My master is incredibly strict and so fierce. He's always wearing a cold expression, like I owe him millions, and he's got a terrible temper. Besides being powerful, what else does he have going for him? Anyone blind enough to fall for him would be in for a hard time."

Later, the junior sister who was in for a hard time told her friend, "Actually, my short-tempered master has a charm of his own. I wouldn't mind going blind for him."
