I Flirted with My Future CEO, but I Don't Want to Take Responsibility

Yu Wei is the cherished daughter of the fabulously wealthy Yu family in Province A. She has been chasing after Fu Chen for two years and is mocked as a clinging nuisance, all because their families arranged a marriage long ago.

Yu Wei thinks that if they've agreed he's hers, then he should belong to her.

But Fu Chen says, "We're just a business arrangement. We put on a show for the elders, then each do our own thing in private. Why not? Don't interfere with my pursuit of freedom, and I won't stop you from finding yourself a pretty boy."

Yu Wei protested and threw tantrums, but in the end, she became nothing more than a joke.

At last, she was tired of it. She put Fu Chen out of her mind and, through a bit of scheming and deception, found herself a "boyfriend."

His name was Jiang Ci. He was a reserved, handsome top student and the object of many people's secret crushes.

Yu Wei didn't particularly like Jiang Ci. She had merely spotted him working part-time at a bar when she went there to look for Fu Chen.

"You wouldn't want anyone else to find out about this, would you?" Yu Wei said with a sly smile.

Thin-skinned and proud, Jiang Ci blushed to the tips of his ears and reluctantly gave in to Yu Wei.

A forcibly picked melon isn't sweet, but it does quench your thirst. During graduation season two years later, Yu Wei, who had never thought much of Jiang Ci to begin with, broke up with him and went abroad without a backward glance. She didn't return for a full eight years.

At a later banquet, the hotshot tycoon Jiang cornered Yu Wei in a secluded spot and kissed her deeply, his gaze and presence brimming with aggression.

"If you only care about the marriage alliance, and not Fu Chen, then why not consider me?"
