The Barn Burning the Other Way Around

Rich playboy who sets himself on fire x beautiful woman with an unshakable inner core

Some wealthy people, lacking nothing materially but spiritually impoverished, always feel empty inside. They like to seek out young women just starting out in life and show them different sights and a more glamorous world. Once the women have been gradually consumed and are nearly ready to forget where they came from, they kick them aside. They watch them despair and fall apart, taking pleasure in tormenting these young, vibrant spirits as they watch them slowly catch fire, burn through their souls in a brief, dazzling blaze, and finally turn to ash. This vile pastime is known as "burning down the barn."

Gu Yanzhou is one such man, someone who loves "burning down the barn." The woman he's chosen this time is called Qin Man.

She has hair as dark as ebony, eyes that are always profound, and a reaction to everything that is always calm... Gu Yanzhou has to admit that she has a fatal allure, and that he almost fell in love with her from the bottom of his heart.

But the cruelty in his nature won out, and in the end he decided to destroy her.

Yet just as he was getting ready to admire his "masterpiece," he was horrified to discover that this time, the barn being burned down was his own.
