The Tenth Year After My Dao Companion Died

Lu Qi and Xiao Muyu were fellow disciples who practiced dual cultivation for three years.

Their friendly physical arrangement had always been kept secret, with no one the wiser.

In the fourth year of their dual cultivation, Lu Qi had just climbed out of Xiao Muyu's bed when he died at dusk in the Realm of the Heart.

That same year, Xiao Muyu perfected his Heartless Dao and advanced to the Deification Realm.

People outside said Xiao Muyu's breakthrough had something to do with Lu Qi, and that Lu Qi might have been kept around specifically to help Xiao Muyu reach Deification.

In the sixth year, Qingyu Sect gained a Seeking Deer Peak. No one was allowed to enter. Anyone who did would be executed.

The ninth year.

Everyone knew that the Immortal Venerable of Seeking Deer Peak was unreasonable, with none of the bearing an Immortal Venerable ought to have. He was even more of a rogue than the Demon Venerable of the demon clans!

The tenth year.

Someone had dug up the grave on Seeking Deer Peak. Rumor had it the Immortal Venerable massacred half the cultivation world, his pale clothes stained crimson with blood.

That same year, Lu Qi was reborn in an unknown mountain village, becoming a wandering cultivator who healed the sick and saved lives.

Only, his clinic had gained a red-robed Immortal Venerable who shamelessly refused to leave, no matter how many times he was thrown out.
