Nioh was a travel blogger who roamed all over the world, living a carefree life. Unfortunately, he had a bad fall from grace and got caught in a plane crash.
When he opened his eyes again, he was back in fifth grade, and had become childhood friends with a reborn Yagyuu. Together, they started raising a little seaweed-head.
By the time he came to his senses, a strange panel had popped up in his face.
The Interstellar Child Training System is at your service.
With the System’s help, Nioh makes up for the regrets of his past life. Along with everyone at Rikkai, he wins back the championship he lost and keeps climbing until he takes all four Grand Slam titles.
[PS: Nioh and Yagyuu are both reborn, and they’ll be in the same year as Kirihara.]
A little scene:
Scene 1: Atobe confidently picks up a certain seaweed-head’s test paper. “If I help him study, you’ll play a match against me, right?”
Nioh, in his well-behaved act: “That’s right.”
Yagyuu: “Thanks for taking the trouble, senpai.”
The boy with purplish-gray hair confidently taps the beauty mark beneath his eye. “Ah, no matter what it is, running away is utterly unrefined.”
An hour later.
Atobe walks out of the room with his hair in disarray.
“Butler, find me the best English tutor in all of Japan. No, in all of Kanagawa.”
Scene 2: Seeing the fluffy fox’s head, Yukimura’s hand twitches. He follows his impulse and strokes it, saying without a change in expression, “You can call me Yukimura-senpai, Masaharu. Or Seiichi-senpai is fine too.”
Nioh stiffens. He would rather die than call Sanada-senpai “senpai,” but calling Yukimura-senpai...
Yukimura’s iris-colored eyes are filled with a smile, their gaze as gentle as a flowing stream. The warmth in them easily draws Nioh in.
The fox, seduced by his good looks, gives in after just one second. “Yukimura-senpai...”
“Looks like I’m a senpai Nioh approves of.”
Yukimura can tell that Nioh doesn’t like calling people “senpai,” but it definitely isn’t because Nioh is too arrogant to call someone he’s beaten by that title, as the rumors claim. Mouri-senpai is a perfect example, after all, isn’t he?
Whatever the reason, this still counts as a kind of approval.
Yukimura thinks casually as he ruffles the fox’s head.
Sanada is still glaring at Nioh, the fire behind him already blazing as he gets lost in his own thoughts.
Seeing Sanada like this, Yukimura narrows his eyes slightly. This is a much better look than when he was pestering Kunimitsu Tezuka.
But scaring off a junior isn’t acceptable.
The author loves white-haired foxes most and doesn’t hate any characters, though I’m not too fond of Coach Ryuzaki. The plot will lean more toward the manga version, which I like better.
Yagyuu and Nioh will both be stronger than in the original, and Nioh will be the strongest later on. They’ve both been reborn, so cut them some slack.
In the end, the little seaweed-head will have more resolve than in the original and become Rikkai’s new captain. If you’re a Tamagawa fan, this may not be for you.
There are a lot of headcanons, so please don’t read if that bothers you. Sorry if the characters feel out of character.
1. Nioh and Yagyuu are both reborn, and they’ll be in the same year as Kirihara.
2. Irie and Taneshima will be Rikkai’s seniors.
3. Nioh’s white hair is natural.
4. The tennis matches will probably continue through U17. After that, I’ll write about Nioh competing in the Grand Slams and Yagyuu becoming a doctor.
5. I couldn’t find this kind of story, so I had to write one myself.
Theme: Study hard, keep striving, and love life
