A Certain Scientific Con Artist on the Court

[The ending is rushed, subscribe with caution QAQ] [Bonus chapters now available] Ongoing next door: Today's Script Says Rikkai Will Win Niou-kun, male, an excellent student in the middle school division of Rikkai University Junior High School. The first time he questioned his own life was one morning, when he found several eggs lined up neatly inside his blankets. With the heart of a loving mother (?), Niou carefully tended to the eggs until they hatched. Tiny three-headed people slowly floated out of the perfectly split eggshells... "Allow us to introduce ourselves, Niou-kun." One of the little people primly adjusted his hat. "We're your Guardian Characters." "Niou-kun, you have to take on the important duty of protecting the world!" Niou: ???? Am I living in a world of Detective Conan? ※ On his way to Tokyo for a magic enthusiasts' meetup, in the middle of the night, under a dark and moonless sky. "Character transformation!" A flash of blue light. Niou, still asleep, climbed out of bed, drew the curtains, and sat at his desk by moonlight to write: "The Perfect Murder Plan: An Impossible Crime" "1. Heavy snow is the best cover for a crime. 2. …" The next morning, faced with a body outside the villa, killed using an impossible-crime method, Niou was identified as the culprit and innocently raised both hands. Niou: I really didn't murder anyone! ※ A day in the life of Niou 1. Practice tennis. 2. On the way to school, heroically save a suicidal, black-haired bandage-wrapped man from jumping into a river and receive a "Yokohama Good Samaritan" banner. 3. Practice tennis. 4. Come across a crime, accurately identify the culprit, and list the motive and evidence one, two, three, four. The media widely report on it. 5. Practice tennis. 6. Join forces with a detective to pit his wits against real and fake liquor from the distillery. 7. Become the world tennis champion! Niou-kun is doing a great job protecting the world today, too. Niou: Puri~ ※ What his teammates say. Yanagi: The probability Niou-kun is acting out a script with himself today is... 100%. Sanada: You're far too lax! Yukimura: Ah, Masaharu is so lively~ Yagyuu: (Adjusts his glasses) There's definitely something off about this. Reader's Guide: 1. For Rikkai and Niou fans. Three consecutive championships included. 2. Half tennis and half crime cases (I'll do my best to balance them). 3. Yukimura pairing. The romance is practically nonexistent and comes much, much later. 4. They're brilliant boys, and the OOC is mine. 5. Updates whenever I can, but I won't abandon it. Upcoming story: Niou, Inarizaki, and Volleyball Including, but not limited to... One more white-haired fox at Inarizaki The Miya trio on the court (?): Miya Atsumu, Miya Osamu, and Miya Masaharu (?) Not sure if it'll happen, but what if magical tennis invades volleyball... There's no reason tennis moves couldn't be used in volleyball, right? Niou: Wait, people's arms can't be used like tennis rackets... But a trickster can do anything. Niou: This time I'm telling the truth, in a sense (when it comes to pranks). Volleyball with twelve people is way more fun than doubles. A few thoughts 1. One very important point: before the story begins, Rikkai has won the Kanto title sixteen times in a row and come in second place at Nationals. 2. "There's no need to dwell on yesterday," so be fearless challengers. 3. Beginners are less skilled at volleyball than Niou, so he'll improve gradually. 4. In the end, he'll still play tennis, because he's Niou Masaharu. 5. If the world setting allowed it, I would really love to write a story like, "You thought only Niou was coming, but the entire middle school tennis world showed up." Here's an ancient joke: The Prince of Tennis was acted out by Niou alone. Theme: Strive to become the just and righteous person you want to be!
