The Con Artist Who Travels with Monsters

※Thank you all for your patience and support. You've given me the motivation to revise this novel. Starting November 19, 2025, it will be locked from Chapter 23 onward. *bows* Blurb: After graduating from the Onmyoji Academy, Nioh transfers to Rikkai University to continue his studies. First, he feels he needs a university degree in the human world. Second, he's curious about the tennis-playing teammates from a parallel world. That's right: young Onmyoji Nioh has memories of a parallel world. There, he and his teammates fought for the national championship, but suffered a bitter defeat in their third year of middle school and failed to achieve their goal of winning three consecutive titles. Now, Onmyoji Nioh is determined to accomplish what his parallel-world counterpart couldn't: win the national championship three years in a row. He also has to do his actual job and fulfill his duty as an onmyoji of the Nioh family. For example: take assignments to exterminate demons for money, work with the police headquarters' special investigations unit on unusual cases (which also means exorcising demons), and deal with troublesome, misbehaving demons in everyday life (free exorcisms). * At a murder scene A shrunken high school detective stands shoulder to shoulder with Nioh. Elementary schooler: “The killer is the victim's wife!” Nioh: “Exactly! The killer is the victim's late ex-wife!” Elementary schooler: “...” Nioh: “...” The victim's current wife: “...” Inspector Megure: “You two aren't talking about the same person, are you?” Coming soon in my column: "Watch My Boyfriend Transform Seventy-Two Ways" (tentative title), featuring Atobe and Nioh as a couple. Please add it to your collection if you're interested! After the major revision of "Demons and Ghosts", this will probably be my next novel. Blurb for "Watch My Boyfriend Transform Seventy-Two Ways"↓ Blurb: After leaving U-17, Nioh doesn't pursue a career in professional tennis. His original plan is to attend university and become an ordinary office worker after graduation. But his “illusion” on the court makes people think he'd be a promising undercover agent, so he's recruited and sent to police academy. Upon graduation, he immediately becomes an undercover agent on the good guys' side. From then on, Atobe, the young master who respects his boyfriend's career choices, finds himself caught up in a love life that the outside world misinterprets as being attracted to both men and women, to the detriment of his reputation. When the young detective first meets the young head of the Atobe family at a celebration banquet for a joint project between the Suzuki and Atobe Groups, the young master Atobe has his arm around a black-haired, straight-haired girl and introduces her as his girlfriend, Masami. The young detective agrees with his sister Ran's comment that they make a good couple. Two weeks later, while vacationing at a luxury resort, the young detective sees the young master Atobe having an intimate conversation with a red-haired beauty. His opinion of Atobe drops a little: “What a playboy.” A month later, the young detective and the Junior Detective League see the young master Atobe shopping with the black-haired Masami. The young detective thinks Atobe is cheating on two people at once: “What a jerk.” Two months later, the young detective sees the young master Atobe “kissing” Bourbon at a hot spring resort. The look he gives Atobe changes completely. The young detective: “Wow.” The real Bourbon, who's being stared at strangely by the young detective: “?” The Nth time the young detective sees the young master Atobe getting handsy with a middle-aged man... The young detective: “Pervert!!!” Theme: Never lose sight of your love for tennis.
