[Planned for several books from now, secret relationship, one-on-one, happy ending, demon king bottom x hero top]
The demon king used magic to make himself ugly, but in truth he had silver hair and a face so breathtakingly beautiful it seemed bestowed by the gods.
One night, after staying up late reading, he fell asleep by the window. When he woke the next morning, he found that his pet owl had smashed his hair-growth potion. Like Rapunzel, his long hair had grown into a net and spilled down from the top of the tower.
The demon king gathered his hair back up and found a hero lying half-dead at the foot of the tower, hidden beneath the heap of it. He had seen this fellow before, back when he was full of confidence and vigor.
Ground down by the kingdom's political struggles, the hero was now nothing but a discarded blade. He had fled here and was able to cling to life only because the tower's immense magic concealed him.
The demon king didn't mind having one more person around, so he turned away the raven sent by the kingdom and let the hero stay.
The first thing the hero did when he woke, of course, was try to kill him. The demon king had saved his life, only to be treated so badly. His temper flared, and he forced a vial of transformation potion down the hero's throat. The hero went from looking like he wanted to kill him to...
a blushing, hopeless romantic calling him his wife.
Demon King: What's wrong with this picture?
Then he looked at the label. The transformation potion had expired, and some indescribable ingredients had formed inside it.
The hero, who was supposed to turn into a giant slug, had instead become a hopeless romantic.
Well, anyway, a human had fallen in love with him.
That was rather inconvenient.
The demon king dragged his long hair along the floor as he went to look for some old books on how to neutralize the potion's ingredients. He would also have to label all his potions with expiration dates.
What a huge project. He had his work cut out for him.
As he walked, someone suddenly tugged at him. It turned out the hero had scooped up the strands of hair trailing along the floor.
The hero was still wrapped in bandages, his wounds not yet healed, but he didn't seem to care about them at all.
Hero: Your hair. It's dragging on the floor. Can't have that.
Demon King: I don't care if it gets dirty.
The hero, forcibly turned into a hopeless romantic, was stubborn about it. He gathered up all the demon king's hair and followed him around like a giant tail.
While the demon king searched for spellbooks, the tall, long-legged fellow patiently combed the demon king's hair smooth, one strand at a time.
Demon King: Don't wash my hair while I'm not looking.
Hero: .
Demon King: Don't put bubbles on my head.
Hero: .
Demon King: Stop combing it, I'm busy... I said, don't bring three-branched rabbits indoors! If they have babies all over the tower, are you going to raise them? You and your excessive sympathy can get down to the bottom of the tower with them! Don't bother me at the top today!
The hero's voice was muffled. "Am I not also the result of your excessive sympathy?"
Demon King: ...That's different. You were an accident.
The hero, who had been drooping just a moment ago, immediately blossomed.
This cozy life continued until the day the hero regained his senses.
My heart says I loved you, but my reason tells me it was only the potion.
So why, now that my mind is perfectly clear, do I still love you?

Demon King: Buddy, is it possible I wasn't drugged at all and I'm completely in my right mind?
No melodrama. Get up and give us a happy ending.
