Jiang Si is the most doted-on youngest son of the wealthy Jiang family. He's an Alpha, popular with everyone, sociable, easygoing, and carefree.

Dou Jinglan is a specially admitted Alpha from a poor family. He's in excellent physical shape, cool-tempered, a neat freak, and especially protective of his personal space.

The night the freshmen were assigned dorm rooms, the two roommates got into an argument. After that, whenever they met, they were at each other's throats within three sentences. They made no effort to hide their mutual dislike, and all the Alphas, Betas, and Omegas at school knew the two handsome guys couldn't stand each other.

Until one day, Jiang Si lost his memory.

The young man had just woken up and was rubbing his eyes sleepily. He turned over, about to get out of bed, then saw the Alpha beside it and frowned as he sniffed.

"Who are you?"

"Is that your pheromone scent? It smells so good."

"Do you think we're highly compatible?"

"Are you... my boyfriend?"

Dou Jinglan clenched the hand in his pocket, his thick lashes hiding his complicated expression. He replied coolly, "We have a terrible relationship."

Jiang Si said with certainty, "There's no way you aren't lying to me."

While he had amnesia, Jiang Si never believed that they had a bad relationship.

"If I didn't like someone, how could my first impression of them be so good? Impossible."

"I must have liked you for a long time."

"I'm sorry. I lose my memory from time to time, and I forgot you... But don't worry, I'm definitely not a jerk. I'll make it up to you twice over!"

"Don't be sad. I'm not afraid to admit how I feel. I really like you. Don't listen to what they say. How could I ever treat you like that? Don't be sad. Let me make it up to you."

"Here, some flowers for you."

After his memories returned, Jiang Si saw the notebook where he'd cursed Dou Jinglan eight hundred times and slowly closed it. Calmly, he asked, "Where did you put the washboard?"

Dou Jinglan looked down at him, amused and utterly at ease: ""

Reading Guide:

1. Energetic, lively, roguish sunshine bottom (Jiang Si) x cold, taciturn, extremely protective Demon King top (Dou Jinglan).

2. Alpha x Alpha, one-on-one, happy ending, no children. The top's point of view may feature quite a bit in the first half while the bottom has amnesia. The ABO pairings are a bit of a hodgepodge, with side characters including female Alpha and male Omega, female Alpha and female Omega, male Alpha and male Omega... probably nothing else. These pairings aren't mentioned much and are mostly glossed over. The bottom goes through a period later on when he can't control his body, but there are no explicit scenes. If that bothers you, feel free to skip ahead.

3. The whole thing is made up, with tons of personal worldbuilding and a weak plot. Any resemblance is purely because I'm making things up.

To ruin the cheating jerk who betrayed him and destroy his reputation, Shi Chao pretends to live with someone while secretly renting another apartment through an agent, making it easier to slip away.

After everything was arranged, he planned to settle into the apartment in peace. He didn't expect the rental agent to stab him in the back.

The landlord he hadn't had time to meet... was his ex-boyfriend, whom he hadn't seen in seven years.

His ex-boyfriend still favored black shirts, which showed off his powerful build and his dark, unruly features.

He was also just like before, fond of sneaking into Shi Chao's room in the middle of the night.

In the dark, Shi Chao caught the hand gripping his waist and said, "Are you stopping or getting out? It's been seven years, and you're still the same?"

The other man grinned through gritted teeth.

"I want a kiss."

Later, the cheating jerk came knocking.

Shi Chao, who was exceptionally agreeable and smiling at work, the sort of young man everyone called a herbivore, opened the door bare-chested.

Red marks ran from his collarbone down to his waist, and there was a fading bruise in the shape of a finger on his side.

The rest disappeared behind his loose black pants.

When he recognized the visitor, he yawned and turned around, showing off his back tattoo of a colorful battle between a dragon and a tiger, then made room for the man in black beside him.

"Yu Zhou, toss this idiot out, then come back for dinner."

1. The top is pretty much a lawbreaker. One-on-one, happy ending, younger top. The bottom has other ex-boyfriends besides the antique one who's the top. The jerk in this blurb is one of them.

2. Sharp-tongued, stay-at-home, kindhearted bottom (Shi Chao) x jealous, loyal, Tyrannosaurus-rex top (Hao Yuzhou).
