The E-Rank Guide Just Wants to Take It Easy [Sentinel-Guide]

[Next-next book, 1v1, scheming, a snarky, chaotic fun-loving bottom (Yan Gui) x a genuinely rabid, utterly unrestrained, extra-theatrical top (Jin Xing)]

Yan Gui transmigrates into a tragic danmei romance novel as a useless supporting character. He is the lowest-ranked E-class Guide on the Capital Star, and because he once made a foolish mistake, he dies at the hands of the protagonist, a Sentinel.

Yan Gui has very little energy and can barely guide Sentinels. His compatibility with the tens of millions of Sentinels in the database...

Not a single one is above 50%.

Yan Gui: Wow, who could possibly be more single than me? =)

During his internship after graduating from the Guide Academy, he is assigned to the most desolate planet, Bone Star.

On the resource-rich Capital Star, which attracts monsters, Sentinels on the verge of going berserk are everywhere. Monsters could break through the defenses and enter the city at any moment, leaving Guides constantly overworked.

On Bone Star, a Guide might wait two months without a single Sentinel needing guidance.

And he can stay perfectly clear of the main couple's plotline.

Yan Gui successfully avoids getting involved in the tragic romance plot and settles into a peaceful retirement.

One day, while heading to a relief station, Yan Gui comes across a Sentinel whose energy is scattering. The energy field formed as he went berserk makes everything around him scorching hot.

The man is at death's door, lying in a landfill. His instinct to survive makes him clutch a jagged piece of scrap metal. Thick blood drips onto the ground, spreading into a black stain, as he forces himself to stay conscious.

Sensing someone approaching, he arches his back reflexively, like a vicious wolf barely clinging to life, wary and ferocious.

Yan Gui: "Perfect. Housekeeping robots are too expensive, so I can't afford one. I need someone to sweep the floor. Let's see if saving him works."

The man: "..."

1. My own take on a post-apocalyptic setting, with lots of original worldbuilding.

Theme: Love has a gravitational pull.
