My Landlord Is My Ex-Boyfriend

[Complete, and thank you for subscribing!]

[Exclusive couple, one-on-one, happy ending; old-school melodrama; same-sex marriage is legal. The kindhearted bottom, Shi Chao, is exceptionally strong x the jealous, devoted Tyrannosaurus top, Hao Yuzhou, who can't beat his wife.]

After returning to Licheng for the first time in seven years, Shi Chao is overwhelmed with arrangements for his late mother's affairs when he runs into his ex-boyfriend, whom he hasn't seen in seven years.

His ex has completely changed from the puppy-like young man he was in college. He now runs his family's company and is well known in Licheng for his unpredictable temper, iron-fisted methods, and cruelty toward others and himself alike.

Shi Chao has no intention of disturbing him. After finally getting settled, however, he discovers that the landlord he hasn't had time to meet...

is his ex-boyfriend, Hao Yuzhou, the man everyone calls "so busy he never sets foot on the ground."

Hao Yuzhou still favors black shirts, which show off his well-defined muscles and his brooding, unruly features.

He still likes to sneak into Shi Chao's room, too.

In the dark, Shi Chao catches the hand wrapped around his waist and says, "Stop or get out? Seven years, and you still haven't kicked that habit?"

The other man grits his teeth and smiles. "Neither. I want a kiss."

One day, a scumbag Shi Chao used to know shows up at his door.

The guy cheated on him and never paid back the money he owed. Now he kneels and apologizes, hoping to get back together.

Shi Chao's expression barely changes.

Dressed in a loose sweatshirt, he listens to the scumbag's excuses and turns his head, revealing red marks that run from his Adam's apple down his neck. He thinks:

Is this guy blind?

Hearing a noise behind him, Shi Chao makes room for the man who has just woken up and come over to put his arms around him. "Fish Congee, throw this idiot far away, and remember to come back for dinner."

The man in black affectionately brushes Shi Chao's earlobe with his lips. Then he turns around, his expression suddenly changing to one of impatient annoyance at the interruption.

He closes the door, raises his eyes, and smiles coldly.

P.S. The top had a marriage of convenience with the female supporting character to help the couple get together. The female character is not vilified. The top did not cheat.

Theme: Don't be trapped by the past. The present is what matters.
