Sirius's Riverside Farm

[Going premium at midnight on the 6th. A 10,000-word update is on the way. See you there!] The sun of the kingdom fell from the sky. Sirius, having lost his memories, awoke in an unfamiliar forest. After wandering through the woods for several days, he made a home in a hollow tree close to the riverbank. He couldn’t survive on wild fruit and hunting alone, so Sirius decided to try growing some things himself. He cleared a patch of land by the river and planted whatever he could gather. After a while, the ground was covered with little seedlings. Sirius farmed and gathered supplies, and occasionally even found the belongings of a lost merchant caravan. The hollow tree was gradually repaired and made warm and comfortable. One day, when he returned from hunting, a blond elf was standing outside his tree hollow. The elf choked out, “Lord Sirius, I’ve finally found you.” Sirius scratched his head and decided to invite him to dinner. Wild apple soup, grilled mushroom skewers, stewed rabbit legs... Tears dripped from the elf’s eyes into his soup. “Lord Sirius, how did you end up living in such a terrible state...” Sirius took a vicious bite out of a rabbit leg. “Not a single bite left. Drink it all!” Who knew the elf would refuse to leave after the meal? Sirius had no choice but to put a hoe in his hands. If he wanted to eat, he had to help with the farming. Looking at the tender seedlings Sirius had planted, the elf said, “Lord Sirius, why are you growing foxtail grass in your field?” Sirius’s ears turned bright red. “I’ve never farmed before! You’re an elf, so you’re in charge!” The elf’s deep blue eyes swept over Sirius’s flushed ears. His lowered eyes curved into a smile. “As you command, Lord Sirius.” *Lich recipient × elf aggressor* Coming Soon Please add Milo’s Beach Farm to your favorites! Milo is unlucky. The ship he’s aboard is overturned by a giant wave amid the siren’s song, and he is swept ashore on an uncharted island while clinging to a piece of driftwood. The good news: He’s alive. The bad news: He’s the only one who survived. How is he supposed to make it on this deserted island? After spending a shivering night on the rocks by the beach, Milo gets lucky the next morning and fishes a pile of luggage washed ashore out of the water. Waiting for rescue clearly isn’t practical, so he takes the useful supplies and starts clearing land for a farm. Day one of clearing land: He chops wood and palm leaves to build a temporary shelter. It collapses in the middle of the night. Day two: He digs up a spring beneath a heap of dead leaves and drinks his fill. Day three: His food runs out. He weaves a fishing net from hemp rope, catches a mermaid, and ends up with a satisfying meal after all. Day 268 of clearing land. Milo opens the door of his little wooden house to welcome the first rays of morning sun. The shell wind chime in front of the house rings with a clear, tinkling sound. Crops grow lushly in the garden behind it, and a mermaid who has grown a pair of legs approaches, dragging a swordfish behind him. “Milo, breakfast,” the mermaid says, expressionless. “Good morning, Osean,” Milo replies with a smile. He takes a still-warm egg from the chicken coop and cooks it with the fish and cabbage from the garden. Then he and Osean eat their fill. Milo gives the stone-faced mermaid a kiss, hefts his hoe, and heads to the fields. Ah, another beautiful day begins. Theme: Farm well and eat every day
