A hilarious, sweet, feel-good story
1
After graduating, Lin Beibei worked himself to the bone at a major tech company to save up for a home. In his fourth year on the job, he finally worked himself to death.
When he opened his eyes again, he found he had transmigrated into a melodramatic rich-family novel about a runaway pregnant man, as the second male lead’s obsessed pursuer. To get close to the second male lead, he’d even taken a job at his company.
Lin Beibei: Work? No way. Being a lazy slob is great.
On his first day after transmigrating into a book,
Lin Beibei handed in his resignation and spent his final month following the rules of the lazy workplace.
A coworker asks for help? No, no.
The manager asks me to work overtime? No, no.
The boss wants me to suck up? No, no.
Tips for slacking off? Yes, please.

Lin Beibei played a cute game called Keep Your Kitty Healthy.
The protagonist was a Maine Coon, and Lin Beibei named him Jinbao.
Jinbao was a busy working cat, always either at work or on his way there. His meals were irregular, he often stayed up late, and his health was in poor shape.
Lin Beibei’s mission was to keep the kitty healthy!
And so went Lin Beibei’s daily gaming routine:
Check Jinbao’s health meter. If it’s too low, make him eat.
He Rongjing was checking his emails when he suddenly felt his body move against his will and go to eat. He only regained control after finishing his meal.
Check Jinbao’s energy meter. If it’s too low, make him sleep.
He Rongjing was reviewing a contract when that familiar feeling came over him. He was forced into bed, where he stayed until dawn.
Jinbao has been working for seven hours straight. Make him take a break!
He Rongjing was in a meeting when he suddenly walked out halfway through a sentence and was forced to sit in the break room for fifteen minutes.
Watching Jinbao’s health gradually improve,
Lin Beibei thought: Look how well I’m taking care of him. Hehe.

He Rongjing: Doctor, lately I keep feeling like my body is moving on its own, but my tests show nothing wrong. What’s going on?
Doctor: I suggest you make an appointment with a psychiatrist.
He Rongjing: ...
He Rongjing: Doctor, what’s wrong with me?
Psychologist: I recommend taking a break for a while.
The workaholic He Rongjing took an unprecedented three days off. It didn’t help.
If science couldn’t explain it, he’d try the supernatural.
He Rongjing: Master, am I possessed by a ghost? Can you cure me?
Master: Next Sunday at ten p.m., walk one kilometer southeast, thinking about this matter. You’ll find the answer somewhere connected to the number three.
At a bar called Thirty-Three, he caught the drunken culprit.

After Lin Beibei was forced to become He Rongjing’s assistant, he realized that the CEO seemed to be his Jinbao kitty, and didn’t seem bothered at all that Lin Beibei could control him.
So Lin Beibei, who shared an office with the CEO, wanted to slack off and made Jinbao go to the bathroom.
Wanted to slack off? Make Jinbao go to the bathroom.
Wanted to slack off? Make Jinbao go to the bathroom.
After being forced to go to the bathroom eight times in one day, He Rongjing couldn’t take it anymore. The last time he returned, he walked over to Lin Beibei’s desk and said, “Could you stop making me go to the bathroom all the time? People are already recommending urology clinics to me.”
Lin Beibei: o.O
Bonus Scene
One night after they got together,
They were at it until the middle of the night, and He Rongjing still wanted more.
Lin Beibei: I’m exhausted. Open the game and make Jinbao go to sleep.
He Rongjing was forcibly powered down.
Lin Beibei: Whew, good thing I have the game. Otherwise, my bones would be falling apart.
