Synopsis

Lin Yukuo x Duan Qingji

Duan Qingji had handled many cases over the years and made plenty of money. He had poured all his energy into work, and plenty of people in the business joked that he had his eyes fixed on money.

But when he was just starting out, he took on one person's case for free.

That person passed away, leaving him a child to look after.

At the time, Lin Yukuo only came up to his waist, yet he acted like a little adult. He showed no fear or distress over the death, only staring at him expressionlessly.

He even calmly asked, "Your client is dead. Why haven't you left?"

After Duan Qingji took care of the old man's funeral, he discovered that not one person in the whole family was willing to take Lin Yukuo in. They all tried to dump the responsibility on him.

He should have left without a second thought.

But Lin Yukuo gazed up at him so pleadingly. It was hard not to feel sorry for him.

So Duan Qingji took him away.

Later, he got into the habit of throwing his weight around as the adult.

Then he suddenly realized Lin Yukuo had grown almost as tall as him.

The boy wasn't afraid of him, and he couldn't push him around anymore.

Theme: Justice and the rule of law.

Switch Couples, Power Couples

Generally, both leads are sexually inexperienced. I'll note it if they aren't. Most are mutually inexperienced, with a few where one lead had past experience and very few where one has experience after they get together. I only read mutually devoted couples, not complicated love polygons.
