As the Imperial Tutor, Fu Zheng led a tragic and heroic life. In an age when all order had collapsed, demons and monsters ran rampant, and humanity clung to survival. To restore humanity, Fu Zheng diligently supported the young emperor and exhausted himself maintaining ties with the divine clans. In the end, it was all in vain, and he died in a sea of flames, utterly disillusioned. When he woke again, he had become a dim-witted fish from the merfolk tribe, and after their defeat, he was presented to the tyrant of humankind. Fu Zheng was relieved at first. At least humanity still existed. Then he ran away without a second thought. Seriously, he had once been The Outcast, the Imperial Tutor, second only to the emperor and above everyone else. How could he submit to a tyrant? Unfortunately, his tail wasn’t fast enough. Fu Zheng was caught and forcibly taken into the palace. He decided to get a look at this tyrant, supposedly moody, blue-faced, and fanged, before figuring out what to do next. First, he saw an elegant, sharply sculpted chin. Looking up, he found a handsome face of noble, graceful features, and Fu Zheng froze. It wasn’t that he’d fallen for the tyrant’s looks. It was just that the tyrant looked familiar. Wasn’t this the ungrateful brat he’d raised?! The lofty ruler lounged on his throne, examining Fu Zheng. He looked down at him and said, “Not bad-looking.” You little ingrate! How dare you judge your teacher like that? Fu Zheng glared at the tyrant. The tyrant took an interest in the little merfolk, who looked as though he’d suffered the worst insult imaginable. For ten thousand years, nothing had dared look at him with such a disappointed, disapproving stare. The tyrant found it amusing and gave a sinister chuckle. “Quite a temper. Then let’s stew you into fish soup.” Fu Zheng raised his chin with unyielding dignity and said coldly, “Your Majesty, spare my life.” Former untouchable beauty, now smooth-talking Imperial Tutor × moody, immortal madman of a tyrant *This story is entirely fictional. Coming soon: Grass by the Eaves [Reborn] In his previous life, Xue Min’s senior apprentice brother died in his place amid the chaos of war. But Xue Min didn’t even gather his bones for burial. Later, Xue Min got his revenge and seemed to live out the rest of his life in peace. But his life lasted only thirty years. He closed his eyes, then opened them again. Back at nineteen, Xue Min thought he was dreaming. He wandered around like a ghost and heard his family discussing how to drive him out and steal his status and fortune. Expressionless, Xue Min set the Xue family estate ablaze, burning it to the ground. It was only a dream, after all. He might as well let those bastards die quickly. Xue Min sat calmly in the snow, watching the fire paint half the sky red. Then someone came to stand before him. The newcomer’s back was perfectly straight, his steps steady. Snow landed on his shoulders, and he didn’t brush it away. His senior apprentice brother held out a hand. His voice was low and hoarse, and he stumbled over his words. “C-Come with me.” The exact same words as in his previous life. Xue Min raised his damp lashes and stared at that stern, impassive face. Then he suddenly smiled. “You came to visit me in my dream?” “Wei Shuo.” Theme: Protect the land and uphold justice; may humanity endure forever
