Spring Sickness

This story has entered the contract termination process. I'm sorry that my writing skills aren't good enough to finish it.

The Jin and Wen families had arranged a marriage, so Wen Yici had a fiance before she was even born.

She and Jin Yanbai grew up together, and heard plenty of people praise them as "a perfect match, with the beauty and talent to suit each other."

Only Wen Yici knew that their engagement was based solely on the ties between their families.

There was mutual benefit and familiarity, but no love.

One day, she asked him why he had accepted the engagement.

The man lowered his eyes slightly and answered coolly, "You were a suitable choice."

Wen Yici smiled.

As expected, she had simply grown used to him, and he felt the same.

To her, the engagement didn't really matter either way, and she believed Jin Yanbai felt the same.

So she proposed ending it.

But when she finished speaking, Jin Yanbai's dark eyes turned frighteningly cold.

He grabbed her wrist and pulled her into his arms, locking his arms tightly around her waist.

The man pressed his forehead against hers, frantic and vulnerable. "Wen Yici, I've loved you for so many years. You can't just say you don't want me anymore!"

[Thanks to my good friend @Yi Wenzhi for the blurb!]

Tips: The male lead is a super, super, super, super hopeless romantic. The female lead has avoidant attachment.

A healing, sweet romance. Thanks for reading!

Theme: Cherish life.
