Assistant Xu Always Pretends Not to Know Me

1. When Xu Lingzhuo was working a part-time job after graduating from high school, he met a very rich man. An accident happened, and they slept together. Xu Lingzhuo woke up shocked and furious, beat the man up, and declared as he left, "I'll beat you up every time I see you!" Six years later, Xu Lingzhuo got an offer to become the executive assistant to the Yu Group's president. His dream of reaching the pinnacle of life was one step closer. But!!! What was he supposed to do when his boss was the one-night stand he'd beaten up? Xu Lingzhuo silently took back his threat to beat him up whenever they met, pasted on a fake smile, and said, "Hello, President Yu. It's nice to meet you. I look forward to working with you." Yu Jiang: "..." 2. Yu Jiang recognized Xu Lingzhuo at a glance. He was the young man who'd willingly gone to a hotel with him back then, only to wake up and pretend not to know him. Now they were reunited, but Xu Lingzhuo pretended not to remember and devoted himself to work. Yu Jiang dropped hints time and again, but Xu Lingzhuo ignored them, playing dumb. He even wormed his way into Yu Jiang's family, helping Yu Jiang's mother arrange blind dates for him. Yu Jiang tore up a photo of one of the blind dates. "Fine. Just fine." Somehow, the blind date turned into a candlelit dinner for the two of them. Yu Jiang planned to get Xu Lingzhuo drunk and coax the truth out of him. But why did a drunk Xu Lingzhuo start clinging to him again? 3. After another passionate night, Xu Lingzhuo woke up in Yu Jiang's bed. As he was regretting everything, he spotted a black card on the table. Well... maybe it wasn't such a bad deal? Assistant by day, fuck buddy by night. He was making quite a lot. Xu Lingzhuo waved the black card and pointed at himself. "Your body belongs to you. The money belongs to me." Yu Jiang felt his vision go dark. "…" Xu Lingzhuo didn't understand. It was a perfectly straightforward relationship, so why did President Yu look like he was about to lose his temper? And why was President Yu acting more and more strangely? Also, President Yu had such a high sex drive. Should he ask for more money? They could talk about money, so why did they have to talk about feelings? Was this right? QAQ Reading guide: [Well-mannered but wicked sugar daddy CEO top x sunny, energetic assistant bottom] 1. Sweet romance, eight-year age gap, the top spoils the bottom, and both are strong characters. Happy ending. 2. The bottom is slow to understand his own feelings and gets conflicted. The top is possessive and tends to get suspicious and jealous. 3. A ridiculous, illogical comedy. Romance-focused, but there's a career plot too. Workplace drudgery warning in the early chapters! Later, it's all sweet romance. 4. If you strongly favor one side, this probably isn't for you. 5. Please read the first paragraph of the blurb carefully. This is fiction, so don't confuse it with reality. 6. Other content warnings are in the afterword of the first chapter. Please read them all (=^▽^=) 7. The text was heavily revised after completion. I'm not responsible for pirated copies. 8. If you're picky, please don't subscribe to the whole novel right away.
