Forget Your Character Setting from Now On

[A surprise release for the second half of 2024]

A short switch-couple story, with a future-game golden finger and a plot-driven focus.

.

Full immersion / high freedom / boundless world / AI-powered / single-player game No End World is out? Buy it!

The developers have run off? Still buy it!

Whether they run or not, the game is good!

Wang Luoyuan, a die-hard fan of the developers, hurriedly settled into a full-immersion massage chair. After verifying his identity, he began a grand adventure in a new world.

Everyone's skills came with an AI-generated golden finger. Wang Luoyuan rubbed his hands in anticipation, only to receive this message:

"From now on, forget your character setting."

Isn't this golden finger a bit too powerful?

In a world of AI NPCs, this is practically a curse!

Aside from making them hallucinate, there can't be a more powerful golden finger, right?

Turn a sword into a broadsword, an elf into a demon, make enemies into allies, and become the ruler of the game's AI world. With enough imagination, you can do anything with this world.

The world keeps developing in increasingly unexpected ways, and it turns out to be connected to reality!

All that aside, why is there one guy who doesn't seem to listen?

He does listen, but why is he starting to seem more and more like someone I know?

Wang Luoyuan stares into his eyes and begins casting a spell.

"From now on, forget your character setting. You are my lover."

"Understood, my lover."

Golden-finger player Wang Luoyuan x Mu Qitong, switch couple

The main setting is a full-immersion single-player game world, but the romance will return to reality.

I've never written a game story before, so I'm going by instinct and my experience with anime. Unless I say otherwise in the author's notes, there are no references or metaphors of any kind. Any similarities are purely coincidental.

A flight of fancy inspired by the ideas that come from being forced to study. A light, satisfying read, born from AI prompt techniques.

For the record: this story is entirely written by a human, with no AI-generated content.

Blurb revised on 2024.11.14. Complete.
