Pen in Hand, Prose Takes Shape

"I came into this world alone, so I should end everything alone."

"Don't worry. I won't bother any of you. I'll rot somewhere you can't find me."

"All I ever wanted was words. But I grew greedy. I want you to be my left eye and walk with me through the rest of our lives."

"God must have kissed your eyes. One lets you see the world, and the other lets you see through it."

"Teacher Bai, Mr. Bai, I love you, every part of you."

"I am devoted to Teacher Bai Qi."

Their meeting was no coincidence. It had been foreshadowed all along.

Bai Qi is certainly no defeated white flag, and Wen Yan is far more than just gentle words on the surface.

Warm-hearted, outwardly gentle but inwardly tough office worker Wen Yan x stubborn writer Bai Qi, blind in his left eye (he doesn't like people calling him by his real name)

A story about a gentle, devoted partner and a tenacious, proud one.

The prose is somewhat ornate, and the plot isn't as lighthearted as my previous work.

My next book is a cheerful, sweet romance. See The Matchmaker's Mix-Up.

[Updates whenever I can. Finished in September 2022. A short little story, I suppose.]

Updated the character cards on 2024-06-02. The cover happens to show separate portraits of the two of them.

Theme: Whatever the past may hold, look only to the future
