A Clear-Eyed, Foolish College Student

After I died, I was bound to a supernatural horror System.

It gave me a golden finger: a bloody head with its face peeled off, a skull of bare bones, a head with its eyeballs burst...

The two of us worked together seamlessly,

scaring every tenant who came just to look at the old house into fleeing with screams of terror.

Then, on a weekend, a well-built man with broad shoulders and a narrow waist showed up, looking like walking testosterone.

I appeared with maggots writhing through my hair,

but dark desire churned in his eyes,

and he pressed his lips against my skinless, bloody, mangled mouth.

I was stunned.

The System crashed. "Why aren't you scared? How can you still bring yourself to kiss that?"

The man looked clear-eyed and innocent. "I don't know. I'm a college student."
