A Gu-raising Daily Life in the Insectoid World

Miaojiang Gu Poison practitioner bottom x Zerg-splintered top

·

Jian Yu, heir to the Miaojiang tradition of witchcraft and gu poison, was helping his people purge toxins with gu insects when he suddenly transmigrated.

When he opened his eyes, he had arrived in the interstellar era.

Here, civilization was led by the Zerg. The capital planet was celebrating, and the five-yearly Interstellar Games were underway.

Just like that, Jian Yu landed in the live broadcast of the Games' preliminary round.

Surrounded by insectoids with menacing scythes in front and sharp wings behind, Jian Yu, in human form, looked pitiful, weak, and helpless.

"Hello."

Jian Yu did his best to smile as he asked the Zerg beside him,

"How does this competition work?"

·

The Interstellar Games were a dangerous contest full of cutthroat competition.

The species that entered would fight to the death for their king. Everyone was responsible for their own life or death, and only the champion would earn the chance to meet the king.

Jian Yu looked at his own build, then at the Zerg beside him.

...I'm tired. Let's just end it all.

But just then, he discovered that the queen insect sleeping inside him had suddenly awakened.

The male Zerg beside him, who had been about to attack, shuddered and fell to his knees, prostrating himself in reverent worship.

·

A smile appeared on Jian Yu's face.

Wait...

Witchcraft and gu poison let him control insects, and the Zerg were insects too.

If he could control insects, then he could control the Zerg. That made perfect sense, right?

·

The spectators watching from outside had one thought when they saw Jian Yu:

Whose little one is this? He has no sense at all! How dare he compete in human form?

Even the judges shook their heads. This fragile little thing would surely be eliminated in no time.

Some nobles watched for fun. "I bet he's the first to die. What about you?"

·

The king leaned against the splendid throne, chin propped on one hand. Feeling the bloodline inside him roiling and howling, he smiled.

"I bet he'll be the last one standing."
