The Light Seed Completion Project

[The employee roster is pinned in the comments on Chapter One] “You are a savior.” The young man opened his eyes to see those words. “?” As he stared in confusion, the line of text changed. “Humanity is afflicted by a sickness, and you have chosen to save them.” * A university student recently arrived in Beika Town to study abroad. He had black hair and golden eyes, was a top medical student, and was gentle and courteous. Everyone who knew him had nothing but praise for him. Sure, he occasionally said some strange things, and sometimes did things that were, well, not entirely legal… But it was normal for intellectuals obsessed with research to have a few quirks, wasn’t it? Still, who could have guessed that The absent-minded young man who pulled out a scythe in the middle of the street and hooked it around a bomber’s collar; The brown-haired woman who could catch a sniper’s bullet with her bare hands in a coffee shop; The deathly pale man who wiped out an entire criminal organization in the middle of a chaotic street; The priest who reached for his gun and violently blasted through obstacles at the slightest provocation; The strange girl with braided hair who liked to stare silently at people in the street Were all employees of the L Corporation under his command? (Laughs) The employees (with bloody smiles): For our manager! * A detective surnamed Kudo: I thought he was a good person. Turns out I walked straight into a trap and joined the L Corporation. That’s when I learned the true darkness of the world… The detective again: Absurd! This is absolutely absurd! They’re trying to brainwash me! The detective yet again: Maybe… even if their methods are a little dark, they’re probably doing good, right? Of course, the L Corporation is a bona fide organization of saviors. (Laughs) * “Please remember.” “You are a great savior, ” “No matter what.” … “Your name is A.” * Warnings [!] The author is an A enthusiast, so there will be a lot of positive speculation about A (also known as making him look better). This story will feature lots of cat-like portrayals of the protagonist, lots of sweet moments with the department heads, and relatively little Detective Conan-style science. Since all the characters from the Moon are Westerners with Western names, and there are a lot of them, you may find that the setting doesn’t feel much like Japan as you read. The approximate ratio of Moon to Detective Conan content is 7:3.
