Now That I Have a System, I'm Done Playing the Honest Guy

After a car accident, Gu Yishui discovers that he's been bound to a System.

System: "From now on, you're the villain. You must become an obstacle on the protagonist Lu Cheng's road to success, take his wealth, and seize his business empire and beautiful fiancée."

Gu Yishui: "It's 2027, and you're still making people play villains? Can't the System world keep up with the times?"

System: "?"

-

Resistance is futile. Under the System's orders, Gu Yishui has no choice but to carry out villain missions.

A typhoon is the perfect time for a murder and robbery. The System orders him to sneak into the protagonist's company, but Gu Yishui... gets called back to the office by his boss to cover a shift.

The System gets him an itinerary and orders him to follow the protagonist and find a chance to make a move, but Gu Yishui... can't get his leave request approved.

The System gets him a ticket to a high-society gala, but Gu Yishui... gets called back to the office for a surprise alcohol test.

The System breaks down: "Can't you just quit that lousy job?!"

Gu Yishui stares at the 260 yuan in his bank account, eyes shining. "If I quit, can you support me?"

System: "..."

Later, Gu Yishui finally meets the protagonist of the book, Lu Cheng, in person. The System frantically urges him to carry out his villain mission, but the tall, stern man in front of him doesn't even look up.

Lu Cheng: "Check your backend."

Gu Yishui: "Which backend? My bank account?"

Lu Cheng sneers. "The System backend."

Gu Yishui: "??"

Gu Yishui taps open the System interface.

There, in plain sight, is a game app icon: Honor of Kings!

He taps it, and the sound of "Timi" explodes in his head.

He can actually play it!

Gu Yishui looks up in shock. "Brotagonist! You have a golden finger too?!"

-

Lu Cheng is thoroughly disgusted.

He knows he lives in a novel.

He's the protagonist of the novel, and the target of countless people on missions: schemers, transmigrators, and people bound to Systems. Countless people approach him with ulterior motives.

So that day, when a cowardly guy, carrying a corny villain System, trembled as he approached and said, "L-Lu, Lu Cheng, I'm g-g-gonna take everything from you," Lu Cheng couldn't be bothered to deal with him. Without even looking up, he installed Honor of Kings in the man's System backend.

Lu Cheng: ":)"

Get lost. See my golden finger? Stay the hell away from me.

And yet

That day, he'd just finished dealing with someone carrying a System who'd tried to steal trade secrets. Behind him, the window was kicked open, and the night wind rushed in.

The same cowardly villain-System holder from before had climbed up to the thirty-sixth-floor office with his bare hands, and was now squatting on the windowsill with a bright smile.

The night wind whipped around him, and his eyes were astonishingly bright.

Gu Yishui: "Brotagonist, your golden finger is amazing. My A-Tong had no idea you'd installed a game in it."

Gu Yishui: "But I don't play Honor of Kings. Can we switch to a different game? Have you heard of Genshin Impact? Does this world have it?"

Lu Cheng: "?"

Lu Cheng: "You climbed up thirty-six floors with your bare hands just to say that? Aren't you afraid of falling to your death?"

Gu Yishui: "Oh, right, I'm the villain, so I have a health-lock mechanic. Don't worry, I can't die. So can we switch games?"

Lu Cheng: "...?"

Later, Lu Cheng sees Gu Yishui jump off rooftops again and again, chase trains with his bare hands, leap from airplanes, and set one trap after another for him, each one different. Even while dismantling another transmigrator's System and splattering blood all over himself, he still winks at Lu Cheng.

Lu Cheng: "."

Damn it, he seems to have gotten involved with a lunatic.

But why is he inexplicably attracted to him?

A cold, aloof protagonist who is constantly fighting the Systems, the top x a freakishly strong bottom pretending to be an ordinary office worker
