After Getting a Cheat Manual from Playing Tennis

How can an introvert survive among two billion people?

Hanzawa Masaki was facing exactly that problem.

Inherently shy and socially awkward, he followed his childhood friend Shiraishi to Shitenhoji Middle School. He thought he'd receive guidance from the powerhouse school's incredible tennis seniors, but as soon as he joined the club, he received books like The 36 Stratagems of Comedy, How to Become a Comedian, and A Thousand Trials: Becoming a Manzai Star...

Masaki's goal was to defeat Yukimura and dominate the tennis world: ?

How was he supposed to play like this? Was he supposed to use comedy to return Nakajima's Wind, Forest, Fire, Mountain, and Thunder?

Was it too late to transfer to Rikkai?

"Hold on, young man." Coach Watanabe grabbed him, clutching a manual of secret techniques. "What's the point of practicing tennis every day with your opponents? Let's dominate Kansai together. Then, when we meet at the summit, we'll defeat our rival and take over the country. Now that's a top-tier script!"

At the height of his rebellious phase, Hanzawa Masaki thought the coach had a point.

So he gave up on transferring and accepted the script manuals his coach handed him.

Hanzawa Masaki: ...???

He just wanted to play tennis in peace!

Reading power fantasies wouldn't give him skill points in tennis, Coach!

Years later, a rising tennis star was competing for a Grand Slam title, and a reporter eagerly asked him about the past.

"How did you get started as a professional, Hanzawa?"

For once, Hanzawa Masaki fell silent for half a minute.

"I should thank my middle school teammates, and... the coach's manuals, I guess."
