I'm Great at Winning Championships

[Middle School Ice-Cold Emperor U17 Tennis up to Chapter 86; High School Volleyball from Chapter 87] *Completed Prince of Tennis fic: Why Is Boss Atobe Like That? *Coming soon: Practicing Medicine in an ABO World Because of his parents' work transfer, Masaki Hanzawa transferred from Shitenhoji to Hyotei. The promise he made with his childhood friend changed from winning the championship together to meeting at the peak of the national tournament. But the Kanto region was full of hidden talents. To give Hyotei one more chance at winning the championship, he decided that the grind would start with every little detail. And so Hyotei plunged into a life of misery. Oshitari (wiping his glasses in dismay): I knew it. Nothing good comes from getting involved with a black lotus like him. Atobe: Hm. The winner takes all. Oshitari, what were you just saying? Sanada: As expected of my little brother! But he would still be better suited to Rikkai. The Fox: A muscular Barbie stronger than you? No thanks, piyo. That year, the National Tournament was packed with formidable players. After Hyotei won the championship, Masaki Hanzawa went to U17 and had his entire worldview upended: Why does everyone get to evolve, but not him?! Were he and Kuranosuke the only ones in the world playing basic tennis?! People who had played against him: ??? You still want to evolve? * That year, nobody on Itachiyama's volleyball team knew why a rising tennis star had been dragged into volleyball, and no one had the slightest faith in him. But all objections stopped right there. Ready, toss, jump, stretch, swing: everything flowed naturally. Muscle memory had long since sunk into every cell of his body. "Bang!" The colored volleyball landed precisely and powerfully on its mark, leaving only a thunderous crash behind. "...Didn't they say he used to play setter? A setter with that much power?" "...I heard he's a power-type tennis player." "Huh? He doesn't look like one at all!" Masaki Hanzawa, whose appearance was being discussed, said nothing. Hearing them, he turned around and gave them an innocent smile. After all, the coach had said that a setter who couldn't attack wasn't a good setter. But why is your volleyball team so insanely competitive?! Someone even does more extra training than he does! * The "Kings" of Itachiyama are kings who are about to lose their crown. Ever since they failed to achieve a three-peat seven years ago, they had missed out on the championship every year for the past four years: third place at Spring High, the national top four, then eliminated in the second round of Spring High the following year. It seemed they were always just one breath away, going backward year after year. Sakusa and Komori did not regret choosing to attend Itachiyama. After all, the most popular trope in hot-blooded anime was a powerhouse rising again and swimming against the current. The school would be just like them: starting as substitutes, becoming starters, following in their footsteps one step at a time, standing tall once more and reaching the summit. Then they would hear their captain lift the trophy and say: "Because Itachiyama has the best players, the ones I believe in most!" [Please note]: 1. Matches and daily life, with a somewhat ensemble cast. No superpower volleyball. 2. The protagonist is both talented and hardworking. The middle school arc lays some groundwork for the high school volleyball characters, but it won't affect your enjoyment much if you skip it. 3. No romance during the school and match arcs; the adult arc pairs him with Shiraishi. 4. No secondary pairings. Only the original couples from Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun make appearances. OOC is inevitable. For characters who are only mentioned or serve as background figures in the original, I'll write them according to my own interpretation. Check out my upcoming story, Practicing Medicine in an ABO World. Wen Yushu arrived in the three thousandth year after humanity fled the wasteland. Earth had, unsurprisingly, exploded again, and humanity had evolved into six sexes. As for him, he had the honor of becoming a wanted fugitive on the run. Wen Yushu: ...Is this right? An undocumented person, illiterate, with no skills... Just after escaping the death line, Wen Yushu set foot in the United Star Academy, only to find himself in a notoriously awful major. Medical Intervention Officer: a major that trains people to manage AO individuals in a state of disorder, and a background-character major with the highest casualty rate among Betas. At school, an honors student who was an Omega pretending to be a Beta begged him for a privately made suppressant during their heat. His unruly, busty Beta roommate suddenly got pregnant, ran off with the baby, and left him to deliver it. Off campus, a powerful Omega threatened him into performing an unlicensed gland-removal surgery. An Alpha who was also undercover demanded that he help with a sex change... Wen Yushu: ...I only know how to kill people! What happened to the promised invincible soldier-king story? At first, everyone thought he was just a weak Beta who had survived by sheer luck. Until he turned the land into scorched earth, transformed the battlefield into a sea of blood, and saved humanity from disaster by turning the tide, becoming the savior of the galaxy... [Interstellar Broadcast: Feared and respected by alien races, a guest of honor among the intelligent machines, and humanity's savior: he is the true light of the galaxy!] [Galactic Prophet: A heretic to the faithful! An outcast among the races! A scheming politician and conspirator! He is the greatest threat of all!] [Deep Space Watch: Politicians love him and hate him, not only because he knows every family's secrets and has a handsome face. Can't you see that he doesn't even blink when he kills?!] Wen Yushu sat amid the wreckage, casually wiping the mucus from his hands, and smiled faintly. "But I'm really just an ordinary medical officer." * The dawn of humanity, the Star Alliance's top official, the youngest general... Xie Changying was widely regarded across the galaxy as Wen Yushu's greatest nemesis. But then... "You have to take responsibility for me." The young Alpha buried his face in his nemesis's neck. "My dad said an Alpha's neck is only for his wife to touch..." On the first day of school, that Beta had pinned him to the ground in front of everyone and held down his neck. The warmth of his body passed through a pair of latex gloves and reached his gland; even his breath had boldly brushed across the strands of his hair. Then the other man had casually said one dismissive thing, rousing an endless fury in him. And now, Wen "Evil" Yu-shu, the Beta, could only pat his gland and helplessly tug down his own collar. "Go on, bite me. Go on." How could anyone outscheme you?! Theme: Love life, starting with exercise!
