Mai Enli

Zhang Yan was dumped by his race-car-driving boyfriend of five years.

When his boyfriend was pursuing him, he was "gentle," "domestic," and "easygoing."

When they broke up, he became "boring," "old-fashioned," and "a loser."

Even the music Zhang Yan liked was called mainstream and lacking in personality.

Zhang Yan was reserved, gentle, and content with a quiet life. He enjoyed cooking and crafts, and wanted a job that was easy and simple, enough to make ends meet.

Zhang Yan cried all night, then told his boyfriend to get out of his apartment.

It was the harshest thing Zhang Yan had said in five years.

Struggling to afford the rent, Zhang Yan posted online looking for a roommate.

A man showed up the next day. Zhang Yan had seen him before: Duan Qiyue, a mechanic on his ex-boyfriend's racing team.

Rugged guy × househusband

"Mai Enli" means "my only," from the song "Mai Enli" by Fang Datong, whose music Zhang Yan likes.

P.S. The love interest is a total pushover. Don't read if that's not your thing.

Theme: Even an ordinary life can shine.
