Pei Tingyan, the spoiled only son of the Pei family, brought home a beauty.

At first, the beauty sat in a wheelchair, locked up in the villa and forbidden to go anywhere. He was quiet, stiff, and cold.

Everyone thought his legs were disabled.

Later, someone saw the beauty walking, though he moved as if he had only just acquired legs.

But there was one thing they could be sure of: the beauty had trouble hearing, since he wore hearing aids.

Pei Tingyan treasured him to an absurd degree, hardly ever letting him leave the villa.

No one could help wondering what could make a spoiled rich kid like Pei Tingyan settle down.

After begging for ages, one of his friends finally got invited to the villa and met the beauty who was said to have tamed Pei Tingyan.

The moment he saw him, the friend froze. "T-Tingyan, that's the mermaid from that day..."

Merfolk are the most mysterious creatures of the deep sea. Some people would spend their entire fortunes just to see one.

Before meeting Laining, Pei Tingyan thought merfolk were nothing more than toys for amusement.

That changed when a sea storm struck while he was out on the water. Just as the waves were about to swallow his whole group, a mermaid tore open the whirlpool with his bare hands and saved them.

Pei Tingyan fell for Laining at first sight. He spent half a month at sea hoping to see him again, but only saw him once and exchanged two sentences with him.

Laining's cool, aloof air made Pei Tingyan itch with desire, and his spoiled nature began to take over. So the third time, he brought along the family wizard and tricked Laining into coming ashore...

The first time Laining saw that man, he was in the sea, and Laining saved him on a whim.

The second time, Laining ran into him by chance while out at sea for some fresh air.

The third time, the man abducted him.

When Laining opened his eyes again, he found himself on land, and his tail had turned into legs.

He couldn't get used to his legs, the mainland, or the hearing aids in his ears. He couldn't get used to Pei Tingyan's forcefulness every night, either. But that was all right. Being brought home by Pei Tingyan hadn't been part of the plan, but at least it brought him one step closer to his goal...
